I'm fuming - echeque payment bounced....

I've been waiting for an echeque for over £100 from an Ebay buyer to clear - it was meant to have cleared today, but I've just had a message from PayPal to say that it hasn't and that the transaction is cancelled!
Now, within the last couple of minutes the buyer has 'paid' again by echeque and again it's meant to clear on the 20th May.
I've had no communication back from this woman and frankly I'm sick of the whole transaction; I'd love to offer the items to the underbidder, but I bet I can't. What do I do folks????

Can you not open a NPB dispute? It has been long enough.... But then again, if "payment" has been sent/initiated.....
Those echeques are a bloody nuisance.0 -
I have no idea, but I would be fuming as well.

Can you not reject the payment?0

Why don't you just email the seller and say you're not willing to wait for another e-cheque. Ask them if they want to cancel it and pay by another method?
If not then you could just say you're not waiting and then when (if) the e-cheque clears just refund it back and re-list?
Although you do risk a neg either way..I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

It seems the sensible thing to do, but I'm just worried that it'll foul up my account in some way.....and yes, I'll probably get negged too with no comebacks.
I'm beginning to realise that the dice is loaded against sellers - especially 'small' ones just clearing their unwanted bits and bobs!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0 -
You don't have to wait for the e-cheque to clear before refunding. If it was me, I would refund now and tell the buyer she needs to register her card detals in paypal & repay using instant funding. I wouldn't want to wait another 10 days.0

Never used it myself, but it won't cost any more than any other number. This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine:kisses2: Fiancee of the "lovely" DaveAshton :kisses2:I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine.0 -
Thanks all - now I've calmed down a bit I've looked at the PayPal site and I was able to cancel/refund the 'buyer'. I've also opened a non-payment dispute against her and let the underbidders know that I'll be giving them a 'second chance' offer when the 7 days 'waiting time' is up.
Phew!"I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille...."0
