Peeps I need your help - DD's broken my vacuum. I've changed the fuse to one I know works and its still dead  Any ideas what I can try... not too keen on messing too much as I've just got one hell of a shock from accidentally touching two of the pins on the plug  Or an I going to have to resign myself to buy yet another vacuum? I think this is the third one in 9 years, not including the ones I've borrowed inbetween replacements. :o

Nooooo. in barbara woodhouse tones corsages should be made from lovely cath kidston fabrics or...velvet, or felt and sequins....or faux flowers from sia, NOT CRISP PACKETS ZCC WHERE AREYOU help me!!!!

Justamum, you remind me of thursday, when someone who shall remain nameless said to ALL of year 7 in assembly, that the latin for "seize the day" was...wait for it..."kappa diaz" OMG.

    I'M HERE!!! Troops mustered!

Corsages from crisp packets - mmm, now there's a (hideous) thought!! I do, however, use vintage fabrics, denim or knitted/crocheted - sometimes all three, and sometimes (shockingly) on headbands, a la fascinators!! I can sense the divisions in the camp, and would ask that we stick to Marquess of Queensbury rules please ladies!! :rotfl:

And, you can shrink modern day packets - I just gave it a go, which was just an excuse to eat crisps, really! :D I needed to get the hang of it, so I ate two!!

Oh,and sorry for the stars confusion - I came into the thread late, and saw that Quillion offered to do next week, and was merely thanking in advance - apologies if I have upset anyone!

Cats and benches, one of my pet hates, but they don't usually like oranges.....I know someone who used orange type cleaners and orange oil to keep her moggies off the bench (she has 6)

Michelle thank you, I hope you feel better soon too

nicki check the wires are in the plug ok and for any breaks in the cable (without it plugged in)

I am working on some of the schedule now, DPs going to have very little choice about mucking in to help. I am actually considering hiring someone to do the lawns over the summer when we're away a lot....see how much an old school friend with a landscaping company would want to do it I think.
One day I might be more organised...........

Had a sleep in this morning . . . BLISS!!

Rest of the day looks like:
OHs washing - in machine now
    Walk dogs
Clean out some more cupboards in kitchen
Strip bed that DS2 has been sleeping in
Make vegie soup - not done from yesterdays list
Grate block of cheese and freeze
Apple pies - been on my list since last Sunday
Try out my new food sealer machine thingy
Check out yukka - may need to bring it inside for the winter

Should fit in a clean ensuite somewhere, but don't know where yet :)
