I cant wait for the summer tbh - I love coleslaw and it takes ages to slice the cabbage finely.
rofl - I really think I should get out more - getting excited over slicing cabbage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive got this blade which promises to do 'French fries'...............now that's exciting! never had the patience to do those before! and the chef masquerading as currys sales guy tells me it 'juliennes' carrots! which tbh is my fave way of serving them.

Ooo that does sound fancy! I get excited by these things too! hadn't thought about summer salads, will be able to try loads - how exciting!

Perhaps I need a new processor?!?!?

well according to the sales guy - if you have a 'kenwood' then every gadget fits - so if you want a new blade or whiskers etc then they will fit your appliance! that was what sold me on it!

I used to use an old milk bottle (they were bigger in the old days)for a rolling pin, and I still use a tumbler to cut out pastry cos it fits the tin I use! (and a saucer to cut round for pasties - perfect size!).

My mother used to have one of the Pyrex glass rolling pins, that you put iced water in, but I don't remember if her pastry was any good. :D

Enjoy your processor, Meri, I only tend to use mine for large amounts of food, there's just the two of us and the dog normally, so it's not worth getting it out most of the time. Which model did you get, out of interest?
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

Well there is just me, OH and the cat - but the kids tend to benefit from my inability to downsize in culinary terms - I am forever texting one or another of them 'I have X amount of X from last night leftover - do you want it?'

    its a kenwood multipro FPS86.
  • Hehe youngest is going back to uni on wednesday and it'll take me about a week to get used to cooking less veg etc.

I've got the Kenwood FPP220, it does less than yours :( Still, it's better than grating a huge block of cheese by hand :D

rofl - I still cook for five! and the last one left home five years ago! I am very good at recycling leftovers - but occasionaly get an 'oh sh**' moment when I realise I haven't room in freezer or it cant be frozen!
