The TMPP can be any combination of life assurance, critical illness and/or MPPI.

however as they are quoting the policy number we are supposing that there must have been.

Not necessarily. It may be a product option but it may not have been taken out. Until we start seeing some people posting outcomes on here we wont know.

My husband does not even remember how much his TMPP premiums were (they were taken with the mortgage payment) so we are in the dark really.

halifax tend to roll over easy on the PPI segment of the policy but usually will not uphold the life assurance and critical illness elements.
