Have been offered £20 for my Cavalier 1.7 TD that failed its MOT recently. (It's unsalvageble purely because the amount of welding it needs underneath?!!:mad: ) Therefore got to wondering if it may be possible to recoupe more money than this from breaking for spares or even taking to the scrap yard and taking what is…

I had the same problem years ago. I todl them i wanted £500 for my trade in. The salesman guffawed and did the old,I'll have to ask the manager ploy. Off he went to walk round the office and came back with a yes. Deal done.
