  • Most scrap yards round here are offering £80 minimum including collection. Ring a few in Yellow Pages or check your local papers.

Just rung my most local scrap yard they quoted that if I drive it down to them they would offer me £30 - £40 for it.

If it wasn't drivable (after I had ebayed it and others had stripped it for parts, entire engine etc, then they would pick it up for free they said, so generous of them!

Sounds reasonable. How much do you think it would be worth to them after you had sold/removed all the best bits?

Found a local vuuxhall place that will offer me £60. Still considering ebaying it to max the amount I can get for it :money:, thinking of setting a reserve of £60 and see if someone wants it for above that, win, win?! :D

Take the £60, you have trebled the original offer, don't forget that eBay charge and often you will get time wasters on there that will just mess you around.

it will cost about £8 to list it,accept cash on collection then no fees.
as i said before you would be very unlucky to get a timewaster buying your car if you list it honestly enough, it will more than likely be a scrap dealer who buys it anyway.they are usually serious bidders and collect within days, ive sold a few and so have a few of my mates, one car was picked up within 1 hour of the auction ending.

it would still attract final selling fee onless of course you convinced the buyer to "cancell" the transaction. not quite in the spirit of ebay although it happens ;););)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

If I go down this route I'll let you know.

I've never put anything up for sale on ebay, don't know how to do it, so don't go holding your breath will ya?! ;)
