i think its most likly the xbox.
Theyre terrible for connecting to the internet,
then again i could be wrong,
try putting it on youtube for fix's.
the amount of people in the world with 360 problems means theres an awful lot of fix's out there,Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -
Just done a quick search on google for both of these and does seem to be alot of problems between the two.

Do you know if she's set the Xbox up correctly to connect to her router?
This is something I posted for someone else a few weeks back -
At the Xbox, press the X button in the middle.
Go to the Settings tab.
Go to System Settings.
Go to Network Settings.
Go to Configure Network.
The details will probably be empty on that page, but there should be a big green bar near the top with one of the lines stating 'wireless mode.'
Press A.
Click on Scan for Networks and hopefully it'll pick up her router.
Click on her network.
Assuming she's using WPA encryption on her router, put in the encryption key.
If all this works, the Xbox be connected to the router.Dave. :wave:0 -
double check that the router is set to broadcast on 802.11 A,B, and G as this is a common problem with the 360 network adapter as it prefers to use wireless 802.11A
It will be under the wireless settings menu that is on the left hand side.
Hope this fixes the issue0 -
will pass all these notes on. thanks0
-
this router doesnt have a setting for 802.11A only b and g, g only or auto 108mbps. any more ideas please thanks0

Trisha, ive got a netgear router(not the same as your friend but nonetheless) and its on b and g and my xbox works fine in wireless mode in connecting to the router, also make sure the router is set to wpa encrption, has your friend tried all 3 usb ports as theres the 1 at teh back and 2 at the front,0

yes it is set to b and g and wpa encryption and the rear usb plug is being used as this is he one recommended. we think it may be a setting on the router but dont know what one is wrong0
