    Hello all !
Been busy all morning making a card for my friend -her husbands very ill and I used to stay with them when I visited Mum in the care home. They saw me through so many tears and traumas it seems so unfair. Making a little card to cheer her up was the least I could do...........the hardest bit was working out what to say in it -ended up just treating it as I would a normal cheery type letter ............she'd prefer that I think.

cbsexec - I've not been actually busy making anything.......got the stuff and instructions and ideas.........haven't put them into practise yet..........but I've made a list.............lol

    Mel

Mary I would imagine some lovely fleece would blanket stitch well into a nice cushion or handbag. I am laughing at you and your cobweb chasers. What really made me laugh is when Rainmac said she could imagine you and your husband sitting down to gravy every single night!!

Haven't got any fleece laying about Mel but I have got a pretty Laura Ashley cardigan thats on my list of 'things to have a go at.' I washed it and it went sort of 'hard'...........looking on recycled thread on here I thought I could turn the sleeves into leg warmers and use the rest of it for a bag with buttons as fasteners..........and now I've found this outsize chenille patchwork effect top I want to do something with that.
Don't laugh at the cobweb chasers..........could have done with one yesterday afternoon ! Took the disgustingly mucky curtains down in this room and washed them.......OH cleaned the window and before I put them back up I spotted a cobweb or several...........stood on blanket box to swipe them down with a duster and went flying onto the floor ! Yelled so much I scared OH witless..............lol Bit of a graze on my knee.......kneck and shoulders ache today as well..............so mad with myself -whats a few cobwebs when alls said and done............lol
    No..........we don't have gravy every night - honest............:rotfl:

Right - now I'm going to have another go at this wretched flannel snowman - somehow it's not looking like the piccy:confused:
    Mary

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Oh Mary you silly sausage I really hope you are alright. You are such a lovely friend and I think your friend will appreciate you being there and showing you care right now.. you have got it spot on xx What is so wrong with this snowman fella then?

Paddy Well done on your bargains!! You should keep a little RRP next to your gift inventory so you can see how much your whole caboodle at christmas should have cost!! I checked out your blog ;)

CBSExec I love your idea of a bag for life as wrapping, I really loved the hampers people made with the Cath Kidston Tesco ones last year.. have you seen them? I'm glad you had a lovely birthday and I hope you got some nice presents too.. you're never too old :D

rufus That naughty OH!! I reckon he was just pushing his luck to be honest and he wouldn't dare look at your posts.. or maybe... haha just kidding. I think it's the kind of things Oh's say.. well.. my DVD fanatic one does.

Why do men want so many DVD's when they watch the same one over and over?? If I have to see Iron Man or Indiana Jones one more time...

Phunkys I was going to post that deal here! Yoouuuuu mind reader stealer you :D I LOVE your food idea.. you are simply a genius to be fair. I will definitely stock up on pringles and I still have the strong tape and boxes round here from when I was supposed to be moving house.. best use them before I eat it all hehehe!!

Lucy Lu + Janeym8 I watched the TSV and didn't think much of it MEH I am getting fed up of QVC now but I still watch it every time.. how sad am I! I have it on live on my pc whilst I craft!

Thanks for voting for me Lucy, I did love playing with the pink but I definitely didnt think I was lucky when I got it. I'm not kidding it was a whole kit of gaudy, bright pink.. the kind that just looks cheap and scary. I would never have bought it in a million years, got to work on it.. and my mojo came back. It was fantastic.. I made so much with it and I was so pleased with what I had done. SO basically I have no clue what is good for me haaha and in the end the kit defintely got top marks from me!!

Running in to let hamper makers know: Avon have 15% Topcashback or 10% Quidco, plus a 99p shop filled with room sprays, face masks and shower gels and a code on the codes thread for free delivery and I think 10% off.
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Now you're 40 and knocking on
Just don't think that your youth has gone
Here's music in a modern way
To brighten up this epic day
We'll play Twister as we did before
    But - now you're 40 - you'll wake up sore!

well stayed up to watch the TSV on QVC but only managed 5 mins before bed was calling down for me lol but recorded the craft shows for the rest of the day and nothing -i mean absolutely nothing caught my eye.

have spent the evening reading my scrapbooking magazine which i bought yesterday, read 2 pages outside ,brought it inside then promptly lost it feel i am loosing me marbles sometimes.found it behind a cushion on the couch was sure i had checked there

im trying to get my girls to spend some nights this weekend at their friends houses so i can actually craft-hate waiting till 1pm at the earliest before they even get up and room is such a tip i cant even think about being crafty-yes i share my craft room with my daughter who moved back home a few months ago and her twin sister who is home from uni for the summer
oh the wonderful days when the room was mine all mine lol

    hope everyone is well
