Happy Rudolph day to all christmas lovers.
Can any one help, each time I try and thank some one it brings up a page saying I can't access this page and to go back!! Help!!

For christmas day I went out shopping this morning with OH and LO ( really should of left him at home!) and got some bargains in BHS, big toys cars for £1, gift sets for £3, really nice to split in to hampers, and a foot spa set £5. When we got home LO wanted to watch Thomas the tank engine but we settled on the Grinch!! I love that film.

PinkLadyMel- Love the snowman poo.......I can think of some very worthy recipients!

Miss Minx - that doesn't happen to me when I press the button, so perhaps you need to contact admin.

I've been watching QVC, listing my blank cards and shop bought ones left from last year plus wrapping papers. Then found necessary threads and did some stitching on that card. Probably won't do any more Rudolph tasks apart from reading all my notes and adding a few ideas.

Hope you are all having a great day.

Chocolate Orange - well done on not buying anything, I said that I wouldn't but I did give in to one purchase. If I had a bottomless pot of money it would have been a different story though!

Well done Angela - writing a list of cards and wrapping is such an obvious idea but one I haven't thought of to do, I might do that next Rudolph Day.

I am updating my Excel presents bought and budget list at the moment and my list of present ideas.

Having decided to keep my fabric covered shoe box and notebook (can't resist it) I felt I had to do something 'christmassy'.........so me and OH have just sat and watched a video my son did of little grandsons first year............including his first christmas ! And I'm wearing a festive red cardigan (temperatures dropped somewhat!).

So.......not done what I'm really supposed to have but did have a bit of 'festiveness' for a while.:santa2:

    Happy Rudolph Day Everyone

Well what a day, I have actually managed to cross loads of my list and only add 3 jobs back onto it :j, although I am sure I will be adding more in the week. Done loads of DIY today, shelves up (and they haven't fell down yet) lights up in kids room, pictures up, washing done and dried and lots of other boring tasks completed. The house still looks like a bomb site though but I feel better knowing that somethings have been done.

Not thought of anything christmassy hopefully next month, love the stuff in your post mel, I made the Whisks two years ago with the kids to give to their teachers in school, they worked out really cheap and as the little one was in nursery and had 10 staff he wanted to get pressies for it was great, and they were really easy to make with the kids.

Well I'm off to do a few more jobs and get the dog sorted for the morning, shes off to the vets for an operation so still got loads to do. Will try and pop on later.

    Sarah

Like the idea of the whisk but (this may sound daft) - how do you get the choccys inside the whisk ?
Expect the answers obvious so you'll have to excuse me being a bit of a numpty:rotfl:

Happy rudolph day one and all

Today I spent most of the day on the beach - all free except for the chips we bought on the way down as we envisaged huge queues at the chippys down there (and we were right - people apparently were cueing for half an hour for a bag of chips!!)

So I get a shock when I get home when I realise it's rudolph day so
    :santa2:Happy Rudolph Day everyone:snow_laug
I'm doing ok with pressies but I have far to go still (marks and spencers 1psale helped towards a few)...on the way home from the beach I have bought a new notebook so I will get onto that. My pledge was to make snowman poop by rudolph day so I have til the end of the day so when dd goes to bed(in about 10mins) we are watching a film while I make my poop tags. I will post photos tomorrow maybe! Love the first ones that you posted mel - the blue ones that are hanging on a tree - so thanks for posting that as I wasn't sure how I was going to do that one...love some of the other ideas too that you posted.:T
So my notebook will be back in order soon. have to get my thinking cap on for fathers day - at least we're in the habit of just cheap novelty presents for fathers day and not actual presents cos men are the hardest to buy for - it's enough just shopping for christmas for them.
Also need to do a newsletter this year so I can sort of announce the baby to friends and relatives that we don't see often, and live down south. So have to do a review of the year so far tonight too so I don't forget what's happened.
p.s. mel I secretly want one of those cardigans like the woman wears on christmas with the cranks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

here is my update on all things Christmasy (and father's day!):
I have updated my notebook and allocated most of the presents I bought in the Boots sale.
I am another Boots sale nutter who got up at a rediculous hour to get my bargains online and was there more or less when the store opened (taking kids to school got in my way!)
I have bought loads of stuff in sales to make my Christmas cards and when I was clearing out my big cupboard I found 2 or 3 boxes of shop ones!
so far my main Christmas presents are:
mum & dad - Christmas hamper made up of lots of food sets all bought in Boots sale. I have eaten the food and will replace it nearer the time.
Ds1 & ds2 - wii fit (to share) bought from Marshall Ward with £30 off and a Doctor Who hamper each
father's day: for my dad I am making a mini wine hamper - bottle of wine (OH and I had a M&S meal at the week end and I kept the wine!)/ wine book from Poundalnd and a wine gadget reduced from Tesco.
for OH the kids will decorate a mug. not sure what else as his birthday is 10 days before. I may find something in my Boots stash!!!

PLM thanks for a fab post:T
thanks for the baileys recipe - I am tempted to have a go!
I make reindeer food every year but don't vary the container so that will be good
love the snowman poop - will make that!
will definately make the whisks - they are fab

    rufusdog you are very organised

mary love the idea of the snowballs - might make that too. I made an advent box last year which the boys loved so will do that again and the more ideas the better!

valli fab poems - will use one if you don't mind
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
