Damn right Scatty.. I love your purse idea I think it's fantastic.

Has anyone here got any people on there gift list sorted yet with anything kind of different, cheap or just worth mentioning lol i.e I won't bother telling you all about the boring smelly sets I got saved from Boots 75% off sale that will go to the relatives I don't like mwwahahaha!!

Freebie Rocker In the previous thread what I asked people to do was create a Christmas notepad and then write your gift list out for Christmas and events throughout the year. This way, whenever you see something cool or cheap (you get trained to look for bargains lol) you can just buy them and write it down on your notepad. It all comes together then without a big rush at the end.

Yeah, that makes sense. I have been doing that, I just think it makes more sense to concentrate on birthdays first and then do Christmas starting from the middle of June rather than the whole year as I have the chance to start getting money together then as well.

Mel: I ordered pretty ribbons, gingham i think and a bag of ribbon bits that are 1 1/2 yards long and wait for it.......gingerbread man ribbon......for Christmas, 5 m of red with hearts on it for Christmas and a pack of blue ribbons just because...
When I make cards I like to put ribbon them, my signature I suppose!

I make cards for the school fayre at Christmas but this year hope to be a bit more organised rather than a blitz 2 days before fayre.....we'll see!!

Watching some hello kitty purses on ebay - pretty cheap!

I am looking at a fiorelli purse set for mil - still quite cheap on ebay but cheaper than buying from the high street didn't want to get any old purse for her cos she is the mil and we normally do spend more on her than anyone else.

Also looking out now for gold wrapping paper too - cos if i see it now i'm guessing it'll be cheaper than at christmas - I'll probs only need one roll...I have tons of bits of thick gold ribbon - different patterns so thought that would make the ladies pressies look lovely.
Ooh I bought my snowman poop the other day so I am on way to getting them done by the 25th.

don't want to make gold tags though - for some reason I think they'll spoil things and make them look tacky??!! don't ask me why - maybe if I find some nice sticky letters I could just stick them straight on to the pressie and forget about tags - oh I don't know -??!!??!!??!!? Hmmm!?
  • Getting organised is the best way to save money.

I have been using a program called MYInfoSafe to help me get my information overload under control, sofar so good.

Anyway, that is my top tip!

There's a warehouse store near where I live (maybe where you do too?) that sells Christmas wrapping paper from about october onwards and it has gold wrapping paper. They're £5 for 6 rolls and the rolls are 5m long I think if thats any use to you?
