MHAGS (you started it with the caps locks..) I have loved your posts lately you are just making me feel so christmassy. Everything you said in your post was exactly how we celebrate christmas! What kind of ribbons did you order and more importantly why.. was there a sale..
:D Mmm cornetto.. I just had a solero lol
Julie H I will definitely keep you encouraged in your mission and I wish you so much success for something that is very close to me too.. What did you do to raise all that money? I hope that everything goes ok and if you need any support please let me know x:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Mel - you must have had a lot of drama when that oven caught fire. Hope this year is much better.
Best memory - the fact that I went to see some relatives Christmas evening. As for the previous 2 or 3 years I made excuses because I felt so fat! Actually I'm not that overweight but you know when you just feel YUK and convinced people will be looking at you. Well last year I felt good. And what was even better - the relatives were fat themselves LOL
What went well? My son and I cooked the meal and all went like clockwork.
Anything new? For over 10 years I used to belong to many charities that involved making hand made items e.g. crochet blankets, cross stitch quilts, slippers, babies gowns. Plus there wasn't a year that I missed out on the People's Friend Love Darg appeal until 2008. It was such a relief to finally stop.
Anything stressful?
*Received a letter my husband is filing for divorce  few weeks before Xmas day. .
*I need to cut down on the hand-made cards and decorations in 2010 (already started this years)
*The tree was shedding excessively (it's a very old artificial)
*I had left writing my cards very late and probably missed the final dates for the ones abroad.
*One of my children lives in a residential home and their presents are always a  stress alert, especially as their birthday is in January. Not only do I never know what to buy but I get all the family asking. My son would love to get 1001 boxes of chocciesbut as that isn't good for him, especially as he's got serious problems with sugar, it's always a problem. I finally had a brainwave at the last moment so it was a panic to get everything sorted.
Anything missing you want to bring back?
I forgot to print out some Christmas carol sheets to use Christmas Eve at my parents. We always have a traditional Polish meal on that day and sing carols in English and Polish.
What would you do differently this year?
*Less hand-made cards.
*try out new recipes, floristry
*more preparations for birthday in December plus January birthdays so I'm not panicking over it during Christmas
* write cards in advance, make monthly journal notes so I know what to write in a letter
* get new packaging for decorations possibly new tree
* get food earlier. I have a recollection of not being able to buy something I needed.0 -

222 days is nothing though! I'm tempted to start Christmas shopping now to be honest, although I think it may be just a little early xD.Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0 -

Sorry I'm a little random sometimes, if you havent already guessed!
I think it's too early to start because I have a lot of birthdays in the next couple of months so I prefer to get them out of the way first..Sometimes.I.Wonder.Why.I'm.Still.Here..Sometimes.I.Think.I'm.Going.Crazy.0
