I had my dating scan yesterday so will post a piccie but I have to scan it at my dad's first as ours doesn't work. It's not a very clear pic though. Very stressed and worried, though baby was healthy they said they may have to do a c-section. Which scared me and I cried about it all day. I have only heard scary stories about c-sections and about how long it takes to recover. Feeling a bit better today though as one of my friends reminded me that her story was a bit scary cos it was an emergency section and that if mine were planned it would be a lot more relaxed and easy!!! quite emotional about it all - the thought of how long it takes to recover upsets me. Need to concentrate on the baby though and how worth it all it will be, and that later on I will forget it all (I hope)

Hi Scatty - I had an emergency c/s with DD (now 11) - she was an undiagnosed breech and would not come out (I pushed for more than 2 hours) She was born at just after 11 in the morning and I was out of bed by about 8.30 that night and the next day was in the shower and stuff. Went shopping in town within a week. Midwife removed running bead stitch at home - must have been within 10 days for it to have been midwife. After about a week I was just on paracetamol for pain relief - but was only on cocodamol after 2 days (first 2 days I did have painkillers via drip)

DS1 (9) and DS2 (3) were VBACs - and this one should be a VBAC too.

Planned c/s are 'better' than emergency ones in general, cos everything is a bit more relaxed. However, mine was classed as an emergency but only because she wouldn't come out - so I had time for a spinal block as opposed to a general anaesthetic - meaning I was alert and stuff.

The main thing is a healthy baby at the end and a happy mum.

Ah I just wrote a huge post and lost it:mad:
Scatty can't wait to see your scan pic, hope you are ok x

Well I've got a busy afternoon, need to go for training as I'm a presiding officer for the elections, really nervous as I've never done it before, I'll be in-charge of the ballot boxes/counting for the village:o It's going to be a long day 6am-10pm but I'll be getting £300 which includes travel expenses and training so I'll be putting that aside to see me through Christmas!
Then this evening is belly dancing followed by work 2morw and Friday:mad:
Also need to find time to pack as we are going to the lake district on Sunday for a week! I'm so glad I've got the internet on my phone!!

Well by Rudolf day I would like to have made some door hangers and some labels for reindeer food! I've just marked it in my diary!
    :xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile

Right here's my pledge - by rudolph day I will make some packs of snowman poop http://organizedchristmas.com/snowman-poop
and then I'll photo them and post them on rudolph day, I wanted to make them last year for some friends we don't buy for - cos I love the verse - but never got round to it. So...it's just a small task but realistic I think. Have put mini marshmallows on my shop list.

These sound soo good, i cant wait to see your photos of them :) i cant quite picture them but the card and poem is cute!!! :j

forty schmorty! it's fine, honestly! 7 weeks on and still alive and kicking!

I think the anticipation is worse than the evnt and it's aftermath! Live for each day!!

Been to local-ish garden centre with my mum this morning. It has a Do craft section , so just had to make some purchases whilst there....also got a pair of sandals, 3 plants and an expensive morning coffee for mum and I.....
Then picked up my parcel of crafty stuff from GPO

Actually, mrs Pink Person , I did use some of my precious ribbon on card! Yellow gingham, actually!! On the inside of card edge, I usually run a length of ribbon, so they see it when they open it, if that makes any sense at all.

Just heading out to Glasgow now for hospital, catch you later!

Don't worry scatty - I had an emergency Csection with DS as he was stuck (he came out looking like wharf (sp?) off star trek :rotfl:. I walked to the operating theatre and had a spinal block then was on morphine by drip for the first day then only paracetamol. Think my ex husband was more traumatised than I was as he insisted on watching everything :p

The only inconvenience is not being allowed to lift anything or drive for 6 weeks - might not be so long now - had to get my mum in to do the washing
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
