To make the lunch wrap mat things:
Most fabric shops sell PVC coated fabric for tablecloths etc... you might be able to find offcuts or just by buy half a metre which I reckon, from a 4' bolt, would make up to 4 wraps which would allow for drying etc... You mgiht even find some on eBay.
Cut a piece into a rectangle roughly 30cm × 50cm (1' × 1'8") and cut off each corner (if you want it to look like those other ones...) at 10cm in on either side, to leave you with an octagonal idea.
As it's coated, theres no need to finish/hem the edges which is a bonus.
Just glue, sew or tie a piece of fabric tape or ribbon (about 50cm or 2') around them to secure and voila!

If you toss the cut apple in some lemon juice it will keep it from going brown. You can dilute it a little if the taste's too strong. I can't take credit for the hint - I got it from lunchinabox.net0
