Flick I so agree with you, I wouldn't post my Magnum wins because of this and I won a phone from pepsi on the 1st day and as I had codes left I also entered on the 2nd day and won again, but I didn't post the 2nd win on the forum.

Gone are the times when everyone is pleased for u. The forum has changed so much in the last two years.

Wow, how mean. I was oblivious to this tbh, but it's awful to think people out there can be such bullies!
I mean I admit that I look at the winners threads and often do a little sigh and think 'Oh I wish it were me' lol But I never think badly of the people who have won - I'm sure my time will come :)
In fact I actually feel pleased when I see winners here because it just shows that people do win the competitions. And a lot of them deserve it for all of the competitions they post here in the first place too! Karma. :)

I had some nasty pm's when Big Snap II was out - I mean some really horrid ones, but I didn't let it bother me. Sometimes instead of moaning about it you just have to rise above it. I also think people are way too sensitive on forums and take things totally out of context. There is also a lot of !!!!!ing behind the scenes via pm and email on MSE - I found this out myself recently but am ignored again thank goodness as I was straight to the point in saying I don't really care and I like the victim of the recent hate campaign. :) There was even some nutter from MSE on facebook (I knew who it was though) that started sending abusive messages and thats why I had to delete everyone I didn't know from this site which is a great shame.
If I don't like something, I will say it outright - I do not go behind peoples backs believe me. There is a clique on MSE and everyone who is not in the know is made to feel unwelcome and stupid - especially if they make a mistake posting on the board. I do not like this side of MSE which is why I tend to stay away from the inn and just do my comps.
I will say though if I think someone is being unfairly treated and I would never say anything in another username or anon account because that is just lame.

Well, this is meant to be a COMMUNITY, and some people really don't show much community spirit. Nobody should be made to feel uncomfortable or unwelcome or hold back from posting, other than spammers/racists etc. I've forwarded this thread to MSE towers as this nonsense needs to stop. Many of us have enough drama/rubbish/horror in our own lives without coming here in the hope of escaping it finding ourselves in the thick of it so to speak. It's time for some of us to grow up or get lost.

As in all broad churchs (or pubs) you can't please everyone. Yet do remember the majority are still all in support. And if people are rude and abusive - often they're just deliberately trolling and shouldn't be taken to heart. Sadly there are always a few people who want to destroy it for the majority - the problem is all too often we let them.

Please don't stop posting your wins, that's what the whole forum is about :)

Wow I didnt realise bullying was going on against some of the winners! I will freely admit that I often feel little pangs of jealousy when I see someone has won something 2 or 3 times, but good luck to them as it is all completely random and its not like we have any control over who the winners are!!

To be honest I find that a lot of the big winners are the people that tend to contribute more of the competitions to the forum anyway, I don't know if thats just how it appears when I'm checking the who's won? And they deserve the wins for their hard work!!

To change the subject a little I have 2 (more!!) queries!

    1. I am moving house soon, so I will stop entering competitions soon until I have moved and got settled, but I intend to do the ITV ones so I can have a glimmer of hope at the big prizes! However I am likely to be without a phone for a little while whilst it all gets installed so does anyone know if it is okay to enter the ITV competitions with a mobile number? And incidently if it is okay to do that, is there anything stopping you from entering with your mobile numbers as well as your landline numbers to get more than 5 entries a day?

    Phew!!

    2. There are a few competitions for limited edition drambuie sets at the moment, would it be rude to put a request in the I wons or something like that asking if anyone would like to part with their prize (not for free silly!! :rotfl:), or does anyone know of anywhere they are selling these Drambuie sets, or similar, as my dad loves a little tipple of this and with his birthday coming up this would be fantastic! I've scoured the net looking for something similar and can only find miniatures by themselves!!

Okay, big essay over! Dont let the idiots bully you and shout out about your wins and let us all know how well we are doing in this forum! :T

I always use my mobile number for all competitions and have never had a problem :)

I'm also moving soon and not looking forward to not comping until then!

Could you get your 'wins' delivered elsewhere? I think I'm going to put down my mum's address for comps that are ending after the end of July just incase I win them...
