3) Great idea - not that I've won much to swap - but I'm hopeful!!0

Hi, welcome to something that could take over your whole life!!!
First, please read Velvet Gloves coping guide (here) especially if you are thinking of posting new comps, you will need to understand the search facility!!!
1) If it says you have to sign up, then yes, if its not compulsary, then no!
2) As zenseeker says, it depends on the T&Cs - personally, i only enter competitions for things i can use, i dont see the point in entering a comp for tickets i know i cant use, stopping someone else who could use them from winning!
3) No, and although it sounds like a good idea, it prob isnt a good idea for strangers to be giving out personal details to someone they only know from this forum! Again, i try not to enter competitions for things i dont want or cant do anything with!0 -
Thanks to you all for the replies...... I'll let you know how I do!!!

I struggle to keep up with comps for prizes I can use, I very rarely win anything I can't. If I do (runner up prizes) I can easily find family or friends that can use it.My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -
Someone asked me the question the other day and I have no idea
How do they pick the postal comp winners ? I can just imagine this big pile of postcards with mine lurking at the bottom !
And while we are at it, how do the online ones get chosen ? Can't imagine the computer always does it.~ Smile and light up your world ~~ ask, believe, receive ~0 -
forgive me if this is in the wrong place. i recieved a call from a company today to tell me i had won a luxury trip for 4 to europe. i vaguely recall entering this competition. they gave me a free phone number to call to accept my prize (and a security number), which i called. they asked me to confirm a few details. however, when they asked me to confirm my annual household income, because i replied less than £25,000 they said that strict company rules meant that i could not claim the prize. i am positive this was a legitimate phonecall. i do not recall seeing anywhere in the application form or the small print rules that gross household income should only comprise of wages. can a company behave this way? i have only been comping for one week and this was my first prize. what normally happens when you are picked as a winner? i entered this comp online.0

I have won a weeks free acommodation with the Superdrug summer treats scratchcard (given to you when you spend £5 or more). It also has 2 for 1 vouches attached to all cards for the alton towers/legoland etc group.
But on looking into the voucher i got on line when i put my code in you can select 3 countries you want to travel to and select 3 months you would like to travel and they will contact you with options. Also you have to book flights through them too - could be pricy!
Anybody had any quotes from them yet?
Hi
We have one of these vouchers too. I checked online with fresh travel, and their prices dont look particularly unreasonable at first glance.
We may look into this further, but if you get quotes, or find out more, we'd love to hear from you.
Cheers

Glad they have some standards. It's a timeshare company. You'd have had a choice of destinations, which would have ended up only being one, where the timeshares are
You'd have paid for flights and insurance through them, at a premium.
Consider yourself lucky
thanks for that. makes me feel a little better. it felt as though i'd had the prize yanked out of my grasp. how can you tell though.0 -

The questions they ask. If you win a holiday you're given a holiday. If people ask questions like "Are you over 65?", "Do you have a partner?", "How much do you earn?" "Do you own your own house?" that's a salesman finding out if you can afford to buy a timeshare.
Real wins don't require a deposit, usually. They certainly don't require you to attend a three hour presentation.
Better luck next time0 -
Hi was wondering if anyone had tried www . tickbox. net
You answer short surveys in order to win things. Sorry if this has been posted before or if its in the wrong place.
I was just wondering if anyone had won anything or whether it was a scan.
Thanks
