its just the same as the old thead but that was closed as it was getting a bit long I think

Im subscribed to the thread and do the comps as they are posted so know which ones I have entered and which ones I havent - plus I think it now tells you if you have already entered and I also use the thanks button:D

each individual comp is posted in the thread and the link to where to put the answers is normally is the post too:D

yep, i find that aswell to be honest. If I come across a comp I just PM a board guide to get it moved rather than bump it up to say game over and have PMd a board guide - saves people accidentally trying to enter if it just goes straight to gameover:D

Have a look in the Comping Guide at Posting Comps Section, 1 How can I find comps to post on here, I’ve entered loads & want to give some back? That should give you some more ideas

The Magnum purchase required comp is comps thread of the week in the weekly email.

Could a BG please have a look at the Free to Enter Comps Only stickie, and ask whoever needs to see it, to read it please?

Only this reminds us and states Free comps only, and a lot of people have been asking for further clarifcation re the small purchase required comps.

I wouldn't have thought 2 weeks was that unusual a wait, i would leave it at least a month before contacting them, then drop them an e-mail if there is a contact e-mail on the site, hth.

Hi Everyone,

Just a query really about the magnum comp because I did not want to keep bumping it:o

Is it still running behind on emails to notify of wins?
I know it says 72 hrs but in the begining befor it went down they usually let you know within 30 -40 mins of entering your code.

Can anyone confirm?

The website said that they will send out the prizes after the end of that month's competition. So if you win in June, you will get it sometime in the first two weeks of July.

Update: I have today received a letter from the ASA who contacted Gee Gee Images who said that they where within there rights to withdraw the competition early as there T&C's state and I quote

"Competitions
* Gee Gee Images competitions are limited to one entry per person per competition. Gee Gee Images reserve the right to decline entries, modify the terms of the competition, cancel or withdraw from it at any time, without prior notice. All prizes will be given at Gee Gee Images discretion."

I'm almost certain that the competition t&c's where added after the complaint to the ASA as i'm sure that they wheren't there before but as there is no way of proving this I guess that it's immaterial anyway

the ASA also said that Gee Gee Images decided to close the competition a few hours early because they didn't receive any correct entries in the 7 days that the competition was open

end result they received a mass of hits on there website and probably received more sales over the 7 day period but they did not give away a penny of there £200 prize money!:mad: which was secretly 40x £5 shopping vouchers to spend on there site shame on them!!

the ASA also said that Gee Gee Images have promised to keep there future competitions open until the allotted time in future
