Hi, just wondering has anyone got a winners list through the post for the Glamour Christmas Gifts Giveaway? I haven't recieved one yet, just wondered if anyone else has, really want to see if i have won anything!

don't know the answer Matroyshka, sorry but I do the ending competitions by clicking the END DATE VIEW button on the 'See Things Differently' tab at the top of the main competitions forum, then in the display options at the bottom, click Ascending in the sort order option, then view threads, then I work forward from there. If you are logged in, and go back over pages you have already entered, any new competitions are in bold, so you can see if they are recently added.

I would imagine more seasoned compers will have better advice, but just thought I'd put what works for me good luck!

I have started comping by end date (hope to change this in the new year). Anyway, I put this into google (for instance) "E:30/12" site:moneysavingexpert.com and do all the comps I want to do. 2 days ago, I did all the closing comps up to and including 6th Jan. Today, I'm back at the 4th Jan as loads more comps have suddenly showed up (and they'd been posted ages ago) Hope my warbling makes sense?

It's to do with the way the Google bots scan the internet to build a searchable index for the Google search engine and the time of day that they archive the material that they receive

they may not document the information that they receive in one sweep so this is done later and most probably the next day

and so you are correct in saying that Google is not a reliable way of doing comps from mse

I did look in there but thought for some reason only known to me that the date of last post would have been yesterday when moved.

Check ur spam folder at least twice a day!!!

I nearly lost my £1500 holiday vouchers because rather than drop into my inbox it had gone into webmail spam, i had 24 hrs to respond, they had sent it at 5pm , thankfully she had a feeling spam might have picked it up so changed the header and resent it the following afternoon!!!which meant my regular inbox picked it up and i claimed with 2 hrs to spare!!!
I had checked my webmail spam folder but that had been at 10am the previous day!!! not much use if the wem turned up at 5pm!!!

Im lucky as a wtc also followed!!!
