This feed just gives URL's of competitions you can enter, so with your twitter account, they'll just pop up and you click them and enter. makes the whole process quicker and easier0
-
Would this not result in entering twice if posted on here, or are these unique to twitter??0
-
Just had a quick look and most of the comps are posted here, so be careful if you do decide to enter via twitter and you dont disqualify yourselves. xxThink it's about time the comping fairy remembered where I am! lol0

These appear to be duplicates with MSE (based on survey of page 1 at 17.43 today) - maybe they are taken from MSE in the first place?
Maybe this would be better in discussion thread? From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings
DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE!0 -
So doing away with MSE? To be honest I'm finding it hard to see the benefit to MSE and the majority MSE people. Perhaps I'm being thick.
Me too... :eek::eek::eek:
I know where I'll be staying...
Sorry if I sound 'old fashioned' here, but I'm not into Twitter etc, and I'd rather stick to what I know best... :money:

im defo not saying that twitter replaces MSE. the opposite, i think its an extension of it.
It doesnt give users the ability to discuss or create a commnity around it
But it think it makes entering and seeing comps a bit easier. i have a twitter account and have often put what ive seen from this competions_uk feed onto this site, but i still visit the forum and i think it drives me to this site more so i can either share or find other topics0 -
Hi Folks
Just to let you know, I was PM'd by another comper earlier & they said that BeyondHollywood.com had asked in the past for their comps not to be posted on here & was asking again as another of their comps has been posted. It wasn't something I was already aware of so I've now updated the Comping Guide to reflect their wishes. I hope that you can all help to make sure that if any of these do slip past, that the OP is reminded of the site request.
Please find below a copy of the section I've just updated:
In Posting Comps section, item:
4 Do any sites not want their comps/answers posted?
The sites we know of are listed below. Please let me know if you come across any others:- Allinlondon.co.uk - Do not post answers
- BeyondHollywood.com - Do not post any of their comps on here (at request of the site themselves)
- BookGeeks.co.uk - Do not post answers
- BookHugger.co.uk - Do not post answers
- HunkyDoryHome.co.uk - Do not post any info other than a link to the comp on their site
- MumsZone.co.uk - Do not post answers
- LawAndMore.co.uk - Do not post any info other than a link to the comp on their site
- SafeConcerts.com - Do not post answers
- StalePopcorn.co.uk - Do not post answers (please see this thread)
Thanks for reading this & happy comping!Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
Morning All
I'm fairly new to comping and I was wondering... I understand competitions have a 1 entry per household ruling but do people enter more than once using other email addresses.
I find it difficult enough to find the time to enter all of the competitions that I want to using 1 address but I might make the effort for those extra special prizes.
cheers0 -
hi all,
i do alot of postcard comps and am normally really careful and have not had any come back to me.
today i had 4 posted back to me because i forgot to put to/from on the postcard even though my name and address is bottom left of the card and the to address is right next to the stamp.
anyway, can i put these straight back into the postbox with to/from on them in red or put a message saying sent to wrong address? or should i re-write them with a new stamp (grrrr)?
thanks0
