Got a reply from education authority which I'm happy about so that's put my mind at ease a little about the whole situation although no guarantees but from how I have read it with us living in the catchment area for the school & with DD already attending the school (well kind of LOL, a new school is being built at the moment then they are knocking down both seperare schools DD will automatically get a place in the new school in November so by the time LO starts in January - please - then DD will be in that school ITMS) then that's kind of 2 points to us so to speak. I am not worried if LO can't get into nursery in January because even if she doesn't attend she 'SHOULD' get a full time place still next September.
This is the reply, please someone tell me I've read it correctly.
Children become eligible for funding for part-time education from the start of the term following their third birthday, in you daughter's case, from September 2009. When allocating places for September 2009 the school will consider all requests from children who will be three by August 31 2009. If there are sufficient requests and the nursery fills all its places they may not have any places left to allocate to children in January 2010 or April 2010.
With regard to full-time school, attending the nursery has no bearing on the allocation of a full-time place. Full-time places are allocated in accordance with the authority's published admission policy which gives priority to those permanently resident within the school's priority admission area. Your address is within the priority admission area for the new school. Your daughter will be offered a reception place from September 2010 and, although it is not possible to give guarantees, as your older child will still be at the school you have a good chance of being offered a place for your younger child.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -
