Sorry to hear that Mrs MH. There's an older thread (which was included in Martin's e-mail) here - Wheat free recipes and ideas.

I really like "every day gluten free cooking" by Bette Hagman (try Amazon or the library). It has loads of non fiddly receipes including a very easy pizza base which I make with the doves plain flour.

I have read through the above thread link.
There are not too many recipies.
Can I use the doves farm plain flour to make a cheese sace or pastry/crumble?
TY for the books, I will have a look & maybe buy one or borrow from the library.

OK; have you taken a look at D&DD's Shop From Home thread? She's feeding her son a gluten free diet. There are lots of recipes (in with the chat) and I'm sure she, and others on that thread, will help answer your specific queries.

Hi Mrs Mortenharket,
this is the first time I have posted a reply, so I hope I get it right!!
I have been using Dove Farms flour for years now, I just use it instead of the normal plain flour or if you need self raising flour use it with baking powder.
I do find it wil soak up more liquid than usual flour but you will get to know the right consistency when cooking with it.
As for crumbles it's lovely. Sauces too, although, I do usually thicken mine with just corn flour.
I made some bread rolls last week for the first time using the bread flour, and even though I used yeast, they really don't rise any more.
I hope this helps .

Nowt to do with baking, but my OH has suspected IBS and I've been trying to get some All-Flora capsules for him which are supposed to be really good. You can get them from Health Food shops but H&B had never heard of them. I'll let you know how they go if you want?

If you get hold of them, that would be great Catt, thanks!
I have read a bit of the shop from home thread but I shall have a good look through it.

Hiya, thought I'd just pass on that with my IBS I find taking Activia each day really helps me out if I accidently slip up & eat something that effects me. Ok, it doesnt totally stop the reaction but it does seem to minimise it a bit & the effects dont last as long. You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0
