I haven't had to use many services but I'm happy with the 5% current account and the 10% regular savings account.

I'm not happy with the way they have screwed up the download to Microsoft Money feature on their internet banking.

Only had my account running since start of March, but all been processed & set up very efficiently so far. Even got my first bit of interest paid!

More than happy with my experiences (including the new website), especially now they're a bit closer to sorting out that annoying drop-down list of payees.

I'm so glad to have ditched HSBC, even if their internet banking was a bit slicker.

I've recommended one friend already and the £50 went in within a matter of days. :j

Very hppy with them. I opened an account in January and both my daughter and I got our £50. Since got another £50 when a friend opened her account.I now have card with good limit (all stoozed), £2000 0% overdraft (again stoozed), just moving this years ISA, online saver2 for stooze money, and regular saver at 10%......all because of finding this site in December and getting advice from members here and reading Martin's tips and articles...A@L may be useless to others but so far they have been fine with me.

Been with them for about a year (April 05) ... never had a problem ... had lots of referrals go through ... very happy.

Just annoyed my Premier Direct 5% is coming to an end at the end of June!

Looks like I'll be travelling over to Nationwide ...

Very happy with A&L, I have been with them for 24yrs, previously giro bank. I am not a loyalist, I change suppliers often, but I have never needed to change my bank - yet- . Online baking is so easy, I have a current account, I use online saver and have my ISA. Customer service has always been impeccable.

    Very happy to recommend.

In the main the A&L Current / Premier (ex Girobank) account (and linked savings accounts) works very well, but I am annoyed at lower interest rates for existing customers. I don't suppose they would let me open a new account with them and then close my old account?
The Nationwide advert on loyalty sums up the situation very well ! A two tier system to attract new customers and stuff existing customers.
A&L need to address this or I and many others may eventually get so frustrated that we will switch.

Happy with their Mortgages which are reasonably competative but very unhappy that they robbed my children by slashing the rate on their "first save?" accounts after getting the customers in.

    Hi
Very happy with them, I have a current/savings account, and I've just opened an ISA with them, never had any problems with them or their online banking. Good customer services.
