If you want to take it to the correct people then take it to the Environmental Health dept at your local council. They'll analyse the brown stuff and if not, they'll keep a bit and send the rest off to the manufacturers for their opinion.
The OP has no idea whether this is a case of "Weetabix employee pooing in the mixer" for the nth time, or whether the EH dept have a file a foot thick on 'bits in brekkie cereal' and this is the final straw that means they're going to prosecute.
Food companies sit up and pay attention to EH and can't palm them off with £30 vouchers.
If you really want compensation, you could always eat some of the brown stuff and see what happens...........0
