Need Advice Found bad stuff in weetabix

Can anyone tell what can I do regarding something I found in weetabix.
My wife broke in half a biscuit of weetabix and she saw some brown stuff on it do not know what it is.
I wrote to weetabix they said send us the contaminated weetabix by recorded delievery and they will investigate and let me know what it is and will pay for the postage.
I want to know can I claim compensation from weetabix for negligence if it is a harmfull stuff because potentially my child could have eaten this stuff only by chance my wife found out. what can I do reagarding this?
Thanks in advance for answers.

compensation? what losses have you suffered? you dont even know what this "brown stuff" is, let alone if it is harmful.

Sounds to me like you want something for nothing, sad.

    probably an overcooked bit.

no need to claim for compensation as nothing happened and you have suffered no loss!

Well I do not know what it is but surely it is not part of weetabix if people can claim compensation if they find hair in the food why can I not claim for something that should not be in the food which could have been eaten up by someone:rolleyes:

You can't claim for things that might have potentially happened.

It gets into the realms of stupidity if you can claim for potentially happened things - you could have potentially had a car accident on the way to buy the Weetabix, you could have potentially been run over in the supermarket carpark, you could have potentially choaked on another Weetabix, you could have potentially dropped the box of Weetabix and bruised your foot and so on.
Here I go again on my own....

For finding a brown bit in a weetabix you are entitled under UK law to sue Weetabix for £2000 for potentially eating it.

No you not, the laws of compensation as previous posters have noted is for when you have actually incurred a loss or suffered some type of injury. You've been watching to many daytime tv adverts. You will probably find that weetabix send you some flowers or a hamper by ways of an apology which I would have thought would be more than enough to compensate any inconvenience. Plus if they do have some type of problem with their manufacturing you have performed your civic duty and helped prevent problems

    It most certainly is.

For some reason I loved this muck when I was a little child (back then I called them meeps too :D)....then it suddenly put me off eating cereals altogether.

With warm milk it's disgusting.....with cold milk it's vile.

No sympathy for you because, as far as I'm concerned, they're not fit to eat to start with!

I ate a custard cream once that was burnt in the middle (so I didn't know until I ate it).

I got over it an ate another one sometime after.

It was burnt too. No one else I have ever told this to has had the same experience.

I can no longer eat custard creams. Can I sue them for putting me off custard creams for life?

    ;);););););););)

It sounds as though it's just part of the wheat biscuit; nothing to be worried about.
