I looked back at your posts to work out which of the 2 schemes your OH is on - gave up when I saw you had previously claimed the assessment had been originally £30pw (not much difference there!).

Only a slight diff !! lol (have to laugh otherwise they would lock me up in a padded room).

Making some headway with them - thankfully. Got a reply from our complaint (stage 1 / level 1 / tbc / watch this space etc etc) which thankfully put their 'assessments', errors and apologies in chronological order and made things so much clearer to understand than trying to put together pieces of their broken jigsaw. Not sure if this is how they reply to all complaints, and if not then I suggest wholeheartedly when complaining to do as we did, include a chronological order of events from our (your) point of view.

Still not resolved the matter, but, their reply does highlight the PWC's benefit fraud and actually says that my OH's (NRP) arrears are to cover benefits which the PWC has had during a period when he was paying maintenance to her through the CSA !! At least the arrears are below the 7 figure amount which they first stated - It's all headway, just not moving quick enough as my OH may still end up bankrupt, homeless and jobless through this and nothing to show for it except maybe an apology letter from the corrupt money grabbing, lying CSA !!

Chin up ole chaps, we can fight 'em, tally ho and all that stuff Caruthers.

edit - forgot to mention, we also got all of his (NRP) records and I noticed that a breakdown of his case in 2000, (case was originally closed in 1997) shows NO arrears, yet, they claim the arrears are from 1994-1997. Apparently it has something to do with the difference between suspended and deferred debt - any ideas y'all? All help most appreciated. x .

There are two sides to every point, we all take sides. I was gone after by me ex, her present husband, and her legal advisors, CAFCASS took her side to an extent as well. I am told that most people would have given up in the light of this oppsition. Me, for my part, thow believed, and still believe, especially after the call I had from both my kids to night on this weekend, and the comments in the background from the ex. That my kids are worth 10 of them and I will ride through the gates of Hell for them!

I personally hope that every NRP feels the same way, though I know that this is not the case, and this sadens me!

I too think that most NRP's are decent and do want to pay and see their kids and that the horror stories we read on here (yes, mine included!) are a small minority.

I thankfully have an absolute wonderful Dad who has been always there for me and I love very dearly and he loves me so I know that not all Dad's are like the sad cases that are on here.

If i'm honest i think the thing that grates me the most is when some NRP gloat about either screwing the CSA/PWC, but in effect they are actually punishing their child in the process.

Is it correct to say you know i pay child support that's all i have to do as a NRP  I don't ned to have contact that child will know when the time is correct that i did love them but never actually bothered showing you any love.

Hmm so it's not Blob either.

Blob the fact that you are prepared to go as far as it takes to see your children (or even young adults now :)) is admirable.

While my head understands and sympathises with those that think they are doing the right thing by bowing out of their children's lives - my heart is with people like you because I know that is exactly what I would be doing unless it could be 100% proved that I was damaging the children by forcing contact.

Well it must be as there is one poster exactly with that attitude and proud of it

It's not very often I agree with Blob (okay, never) but I agree with him on this. It saddens me too.

I am passionate about children having both parents in their lifes and it just doesn't happen in some cases (yes, my own included) and I just wonder how these people sleep at night
