Is offering 20k below asking price a bit too cheeky?!!!

When did they pay £84k for it?
I dont think your offer is unreasonable0 -
just a word of warning that offering a ridicolous amount, maybe 20k is acceptable but if you offer something ridicolous then the buyer may not want to do business with you as he may see you as wating their time.
or worse someone could offer a better price that they accept while you are waiting for them to reply after your offer thinking your making them squirm but all the while they are closing the deal.
depends on how much you want it?Blessed on 18th February 2014 at 0814 with little Sarah xxx0 -
If they paid 'only' 84K six or seven years ago, then asking for 140K is cheeky.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Plus they have had seven years rent.
Think how you would feel if you offer 10k under and they snap your hand off.

Thanks for all the posts, at the moment i feel inclined to offer 115k, see what happens and know i can offer more. I have time to play "the game" and its not the end of the world if i dont get it, i just didnt want to swoop in and offer close to the asking price - in fact, i dont think its worth it0
-
Update: Today i made a 115k offer, apparantly there are no other offers. the EA didnt comment on the amount, so now i'm waiting on an answer0
