The question i want to ask is does the appeal unit only deal with child support side of things or can they get in contact with the benefits agency/Inland revenue also.

From what I have read of experiences of some NRPs here the CSA have vast and wide ranging powers. They are able to look at tax returns and bank accounts, they are able to assume incomes if actual incomes are not forthcoming, they can also assess on a presumed income if they feel there is deliberate deprivation of income.

Will they do this in your case? I'm betting not :( unless you come up with some actual evidence yourself that they are living together.

Is it worth going down to the ex's local council offices and asking to see the electoral roll at that address? I've never done this myself so have no idea if they will allow you to photocopy or if you have to advise the CSA that you have seen this evidence if they would like to follow up on it. Of course I can hear the CSA pointing out that yes, in October they lived together but they've just asked your ex and he's confirmed that it was in Nov that they decided to live apart )

Is he rented or is it likely they have a mortgage together - there is an online website which shows the electronic deeds to a house for a small fee.

Good luck Zara, I really have the feeling you will need it :( (I hope I'm wrong though)

Lets be honest they can't even carry out their primary function so i would not rely on them to help you out on that front.

I would go to those agencies directly if i were you.

I think that meal offer is off (after reading the recent post) :(
Saying that though, their descision was acted upon remarkably quickly, I suspect they are getting a little soft as late :(
    :cry:I'm heartbroken! I've been dumped already...:rotfl:

;)You give up too soon, i have still to go through the official appeal dept so with a bit of luck they will understand what i'm saying. I didn't hold out much hope for the CSA  as far as they are concerned they are right and everyone else is wrong.

I really don't have that much evidence to go to them direct :( never mind such is life...if they think they are superior to me by screwing the system then so be it. Will only be a matter of time! :D

The only other thing I have to offer is a suggestion that I believe Mark has made previously - join 192.com as that will give you access to some of the electoral roll.

I think it is still worth pushing for the CSA to ask your ex if he is living with or apart from his new child as if he lies and in the future you do have some evidence to hand then it may well be that he will have been deemed to have withheld a material fact and maintenance should be backdated.

Misleading the CSA is also (so they keep telling me) a serious offence. I find it seriously offensive that the CSA choose to mislead us but apparently that is just tough luck :p

First and foremost i want to thank everyone who has offered me support and advice regarding my CSA case.

I have made a decision that i no longer want to pursue the CSA or any appeals. Seriously is the CSA worth this including comments along the lines of your bitter & twisted, pond life etc etc etc.

    Thanks once again x

I'm sorry you feel like that Zara - hopefully nothing I have said has made you feel like that:( you and I are in the same situ regarding the lack of NRP contact and if it breaks my heart then I know exactly how you feel.

Now, away and shag Mark and cheer yourself up:D
