Edited to add: I've had a rotten week as my Dad has been in hospital having heart surgery that didn't exactly go to plan but the menu planning has been a life saver, especially with stopping the boys eating complete rubbish left to their own devices. We only resorted to a takeaway once & a snacky type meal once too. As I knew what I was cooking it was easy to get it out of the freezer & prepare as much as possible in advance.

SunnyGirl I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad and I know how worrying it is when these things happen! I do hope he pulls through. Look after yourself. You're right meal planning is a real strength in these situations when your priorities have to be elsewhere and all is chaos.
