I should add that I was able to get for £99.98 today as I had reserved for collection last Saturday and when I got there, there was no stock!!
Hence, I got the deal today via a manual over-ride, which should mean that I can take the printer back and not have to return the camera as well, as it's not showing up as a deal, only as an override.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Would it be worth trying to return printer without a receipt as an unwanted gift, in the hope of getting gift vouchers or an exchange for a different printer?
I've only once tried returning an item to Argos without a receipt and they were quite happy to give me vouchers. I imagine they'd be particularly flexible in the post-Xmas period?0 -
Just took my unopened printer back. Received £79.99 refund.
Voila: HP M407 4.1MP Digital Camera for £19.98

Just ot of interest, what reason did u give for returning the printer?0

No excuses normally required at Argos. "Don't want it" sufficed.
Make sure the receipt doesn't state that the purchase was part of a deal.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

Argos home deliveries never have an invoice. The label on the outer packaging is your proof of purchase and your receipt.
Could you print out a copy of your order confirmation if you didn't keep the label.0 -
Thanks, so you think i printed copy of my order confirmation email would do? Just bring that into a store and get a refund onto the card? Also would the cardholder have to be present?
Thanks0 -
This is the only real information the email contains:
Your order number for the following item(s) is **********
Please keep a note of this number for future reference. This email is only an
acknowledgement of receipt of your order which has been passed to our team to be
processed and has been charged to your card.

Would the blanked out order number contain more information such as payment methods? Does anyone know if they would accept a print out of this? Also do you think I should edit it so it appears it was bought alone, without the camera?

Bump, can anyone answer my above question? Thanks0
