  • I caught the OP on the 16th December. Ordered online for home delivery. Got confirmation email from Argos that day. Nothing since. Sent them an email today chasing-up the order. 48 hr turnaround for customer service.

Ordered mine last Thursday for home delivery (no cameras available in central scotland stores, only for home delivery) Guess what?, phone call from Argos yesterday to say that no stock of the camera now, so no delivery today. They will be getting more stock in the new year, and will honour the order at that price. I bought the mmc cards from e-buyer, 2 x128MB for £21, which arrived today, only need a camera now!! :'(

Thanks to all who responded unfortunately due to the size of the box of the printer i would prefer it was collected, preferably from people who reside in Scotland as I reside in Dundee.   So anyone still looking for a set I have one spare, sell at cost price and willing to collect, its yours.  Never been opened with receipt.  Just PM me.   :)

Anyone know what the position would be after the 16 day period has expired, but the printer turns out to be faulty?
If you took it back and demanded a refund because it didn't work I can't see how they can insist on you returning the camera too. Surely you have rights in law which can prevent them insisting on you taking both back together?

  • Took the printer back yesterday and got a refund on it for &79.99 without any problem.
Kept camera for £19.99 what a bargain!

I think you have the initial satutory 28 days, and the years manufacturers warranty. You've can still return it to argos and demand a refund because it is within the 28 days. After 28 days, you have to claim under the warranty. Don't let argos tell you to contact HP, Argos are the one that needs to contact them and arrange to fix the fault.

Well done a great result for you. I think probably the staff got caught up in the Xmas rush and didn't stick to the rules. As I stated in an earlier post I changed my printer for an lexmark x1180 all in one and got a refund of about £20 as I didn't like the hp one atall. I actually left the camera back yesterday as the photos were too fuzzy was going to upgrade to a Cannon one for £30 but the argos girl wouldn't because camera was a special offer. Anyway I got an idential camera exchange and this one is a lot better no way as blurry pics. I think everyone should check both the printer and camera to make sure they are happy with it as hp are not that popular in the camera department. In a website review of the camera it says that optical zoom noise is like a dentists drill and I have to agree, but who cares at this price its a good deal.

    Happy xmas everybody

Picked up my £99.98 deal today. Manual override was required to get the price right, so I'm wondering if I will get away with taking the printer back and thus get the camera for £19.99.

    I will be trying!!!!

No reliance should be placed on the above.

I too decided to take the printer back today, as my trusty epson produced much better results. Was a bit of hassel (they wanted the camera too)but got a refund £79.99 for printer in the end. So all in all this camera was an exelent bargain

I had probs with blury pic's at first but with a little patients and mess around with the camera settings they come out fine now. ;D

    Merry Christmas to you all
