review. Have you set the printer up yet on your pc, the drivers and ink alignment? If the cartridges haven't been aligned it will print badly, you usually need the pc to align the cartridges.

No, I have to say i have not done that yet....I wanted to be able to use it without the PC, but I guess it would be sensible to go through the set up...I'm a bit put out because I have also bought one of these for a relative who does not have a PC so he may have some problems. Will give it another shot tomorrow and see what results I get.

Has anyone considered that the reason these are showing as SOLD when you go to collect them is that unscrupulous people have nabbed them already - and I'm not talking about the store staff.
At a time when we all know this is a great offer, and that people have reserved these, what's to stop you just going to Argos and keying in a whole set of reservation numbers until you get the one you want?
For instance, these appear to be issued sequentially, so as soon as you find something is out of stock just reserve something else, then go to the store and work backwards from your reservation number until you find one which is for what you actually want.
I'm sure this must have happened with some people - I can't believe it's just because Argos' computer got overloaded.

yeh...made the checkout girl laugh whilst talking on the mobile to my friend....i know its rude, i dont do it normally....i had ordered some items but some had disappeared from my order.

I said they should change the message to....

"The price you pay is the price we make up, with a  random number of items reserved which may or may not be in the store when you pick them up."

Quite a lot of stores showing stock now, but of course at the higher price!

This is probably due to lots of people reserving and not collecting - hence stock coming available again.

Ok, so it now seems my other set is no longer required...any reasonable offer for the pair or will happily split if anyone wants the camera or printer alone.

got a reserve at felixstowe (until monday)if anyone wants it, as i will not be able to get it now.
