  • It's just an entry level camera. very easy to use, needs no experence in photography (not only digital), however, if you used to use a SLR, you may find the menu is a little bit 2 simple.
very small and very light, if you just want one for fun, then go for it. Hope this can help you to make a decision. PM me if you have any further questions.
Anyone who got this package got any first impressions they want to share.

Got one reserved and can't decide whether its worth getting ???
  • Now given up on getting the one collected at Berryden, Aberdeen. Have phoned them at least 20 times and can't get further than an automated message. If you want the reservation number then you'll need to be quick. First PM can have it.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

I had one reserved yesterday in the Carlisle store, up until store closing today.

Went there this afternoon, went to the till and it came up as SOLD when the girl put in my reservation number!

However, providing Argos get new stock of the camera and the printer, the store manager and CS have guaranteed to honour the £99.98 price! That came from the main manager in the store, with whom I swapped details.

I will naturally be contacting CS in writing to complain...perhaps I should request £90 off anything I want to make a deal...

Didn't really need it for Xmas anyway - just the camera and the ink cartridges made it an excellent deal, as I have an HP 7350 printer already!

Apparently, this problem is coming up quite often at the moment (many times today in Carlisle store alone) - overload on the Argos website causes the system to sometimes report items in stock which aren't, after which it issues a reservation number!
    British Ex-pat in British Columbia!

What is your 7350 like, any good?

What do the cartridges cost you usually? In the 7450 box is a C6658A photo one and a C6657A tricolour one (Both 17ml)

Thanks and good luck with your Argos promise
  • I've managed to reserve one (there are no more available at that shop, sorry) to pick up Monday as the store is closed Sunday. The advice sheet I printed out says "the price you pay is the price in store on the day you collect."

Seeing as when I reserved the item there was no way to collect it before the offer ran out - i.e. they offered it to me knowing that I couldn't pick it up until after the 18th, are there any legalities I can bring up should they chose not to honour the £99.98 price?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Folks

We've gone a little overboard with our bargains at Argos. It's hardly money saving to buy more than we want.

So if anyone out there would like the camera and printer we have a spare one. can collect (London zone 2) or poast by arrangement.

If you are interested or have a question PM me.

Other wise there is always ebay!!!!!!!

Unfortunately I don't think they are obliged to honour the price for your reservation. What you have done is to reserve the items for purchase, the offer was for items purchased up until today.

You may be lucky though with your branch manager, Argos don't appear to have a general goodwill policy, it seems to be luck of the draw, based on how the manager is feeling!!

What you could have done was to order them for home delivery next week, then you would have paid for them today, perhaps you tried?
  • Amazingly most stores now have stock ??
