I've bought one, tried it out, one cat (George) wasn't very keen, he would use it on the floor, but when I tried to go up to the loo with it, he started pooing on the floor where it used to be.
As he was new to the house, we decided to go back to the litter tray for a couple of months & try again. Didn't want to stress him out or make him dirty.

Did you train your cat(s) to use it????

Please tell me you did & have lots of tips for me:j:j:j:j

Daisy arrived already trained, unfortunately when she first arrived I had no idea what a litter kwitter was, or why she kept climbing on to the loo. Sadly I'm used to keeping the loo lid down so she reverted to using the litter tray. But even now, if I pop her on the loo seat when she wants to go while I'm cleaning the litter tray she does still remember what to do, sometimes :rotfl:
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Why don't you let her use the loo?

Leaving a loo seat up is a bit annoying to some, but its always "nicer" than a litter tray.

    Do you have other cats?
    How many?

Have you thought about or tried teaching them?

    If not, why not?

Sorry for 1001 questions, I've never spoke to someone whos cat can use the loo & as its my aim, you are a mine of info to me:o

    Lol!

I've re-trained myself to leave the seat up now so she can hop up if she wants to, but by the time I'd realised what a litter kwitter was, (saw it on the Jonathan Ross show!) she was happily using a litter tray, which she had been using for some time in the rescue center. I'd been told when I adopted her that she could use a litter kwitter but the information meant nothing to me at the time.

I think Daisy may also need some sort of step to help her up and quite how I fit that into my tiny bathroom is going to be a challenge. She can jump that height but her balance is very poor so it will be better if she can see where she is putting her paws if the loo lid is up. Daisy probably last used a LK before she did herself some fairly major damage by falling out of a 1st floor window onto concrete.

I'm owned by three cats, 1st to arrive was a stray tom who used the litter tray I got him only in emergencies, he prefers to go to a local patch of wasteland.

2nd to arrive was Daisy, who is turning out to have many hidden talents, including using the loo :rotfl:

Newest cat is very, very timid and I cannot pick her up yet. When she has settled fully and I can handle her without it causing stress I might try the litter kwitter for the girls. I think the litter tray has to be removed as part of the training process so it would be difficult training one and not the other I should think.

The other obsticle to training is that often when I go to the loo, Daisy decides to use the bathroom litter tray :o

Apologies DKLS, we have completely hijacked your thread.
