I'm just grateful to everyone who has helped me with everything especially mum2one and daska and many others. I know you all have been a big support to me and many others on this site and I'm really thankful to you all.
I do actually find things difficult to understand sometimes and regularly need to go over and over things so I know I'm totally clear on it and I go into things in much more depth than an average person would do and to an extent that it can be difficult for myself and others to cope with sometimes, its just one of my many problems unfortunatelyThanx

Bless you, and thank you, I must apologise if anyone thinks I came across as a right snotty cowbag, I am normally nice, just been under added stress as my mum had a mini stroke, nearly 2 weeks, but has been suffering some side effects.
I guess we were very lucky as in all honestly it was my 6 yr old daughter who was a little star and the calmest, she recognised the symptons.

You don't come across as snotty at all
quite the oposite in fact to be honest
Wow that link is really impressive! I bet you are really proud of your little girl. I think those adverts are great and I believe will save a lot of people suffering more serious effects of a stroke and its proved there by your little daughter the impact they have had
Hope your mum is recovering well now?Thanx

Thank you, ur a lovely lady, it shook everyone up, shes got about 75% back of the use of her right side, it sounds daft less noticeable for others as shes got mobilty probs and is disabled, its simple things like carrying a cup, holding the kettle, she hasnt got the strength. Luckly dad or I are here most of the time, but I've reserved a travel kettle collect it 2mor from Argos, that way if shes at home by herself, less chance of scalding herself.
Shes got hosptal apps mon, due to have a CT scan and sonic on her neck.
It may sound daft, but by having this site, gave me some normality, and keeps me in touch with the world.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Oh I hope she gets better and recovers with the treatment its so good you were there when it happened, its really scary to think something can happen like that in an instant. It makes you realize you have to make the most of life. Looking at the photograph makes me happy and sad at the same time. I'm happy to see your mum and your daughter together they both look lovely and its clear you are a close family and love your mum dearly. But at the same time I have to admit I feel a little saddness and a tinge of envy because I can't paint that picture myself as my mum died a few days before my 11th birthday, she choked on an apple and no one that was around her knew what to do or how so she died and it could have been prevented by the simplest of first aid
I know exactly what you mean about mse its the same for me and I bet lots of others too. Its the only thing I go on apart from any shopping and the clicking of course. I don't know what I would do without this site and I don't think any other country has anything like it and even if they tried they couldnt match it as they don't make Martin Lewis's in any other nationality
Thanx

mum2one - sorry to hear about your mum, what a star of a daughter though! Has your mum not seen an OT? They should be able to provide a kettle tipper, trolley, other equipment to help her regain and keep her independence as long as possible.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

Apologies again Lady K, I'm sort of hijacking your thread.
So sorry you lost your mum so young, you have come through it all as a wonderful person and a heart of gold.
Daska - she went for an assesment at a unit thats built as rooms, but this was b4 the stroke, she came out with crutches for her mobitity, the kettle they offered her with the framework takes up most of the unit, so hense travel kettle idea, dads takingher 2 hosp 2mor, and I'm going with her tues ot docs so will ask again about another referral.
Your all so lovely on this thread, in all honestly theres about 6 threads that I follow, and sometimes be nosey and have a look at new posts and see what their threads and in places its like cyber world war, the way I look at it ok that originally the site was money saving and related then in time has branched out to support, and guidance and advice, and I honeslty dont know what I would of done without it.
On the thrify xmas thread, we all aim to be money neutral for xmas and bday, whether that be surveys, mystery shopping, etc, to me and others were like a virtual family.
Babbling over I'm getting soppy........
Take care everyone xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Oooh I didnt even know that thread existed or the special occasions and celebrations section it looks good

Thanx

I found a form downloadable on the net so have downloaded just the pages I need to take out her reg number. Whilst doing it though I noticed it says this
Driver/passenger status and vehicle registration (to be answered by all applicants)
So not sure if to leave it blank or put something in or just ring them again tomorrow and say something but I don't know what yet
I just put my friend's car reg details when I filled out my form Lady_K, even though that isn't the only car I will use the badge in.
If you leave it blank, will that delay them awarding your badge? There is something delicious about writing the first words of a story. You never quite know where they'll take you - Beatrix Potter0 -
