can you do a shot from farther back?
to me that looks like part of the centre console/dash not the main dash unit

    is it a megane?

a possible option would be those dash kits, like the fake wood  perhaps in silver/carbon effect

No its a clio 172 the lower part round the hazards does come off but the upper part is part of the dash. :)

    good choice! :)
if it were me with a decent little motor like that then i would get a haynes and search for a dash from a crashed 172(or whatever model with the same dash)
TBH if your not too mechanically minded then doing the dash can be a real nightmare job
not hugely taxing but loads of wires and clips plus you really need ot make sure its put back well so as to avoid rattles n squeaks

I wonder if a heat gun would melt and stretch out the vinyl. Guess it could cause more damage though. Probably best to leave it as it is and pursue airwick.

Shocking, it's made the thick plastic look like it was just a thin vinyl sheet over the top :O
