Hi all im new here and would appreciate some help if you can.
I got in my car the other day to find the air freshner had leaked and damaged the plastic on the dashboard..:( But on closer inspection the unit has not leaked but looks more like the vapours coming form the back of it caused the damage.I have pictures but it's not alowing me to post them on here as im new..:)
I rung renault yesterday to be told i can not just replace the bits that are damaged as it's part of the complete dashboard at a cost of £600
I emailed Airwick and had the below response.
Thank you for your email regarding Airwick Auto Air Freshener.
Although the product is under the name of Airwick, we do not manufacture the product directly.
Please contact the manufactures of the product on the following telephone number: 01980 676400.
I hope this information is of some use to you.
Kind Regards
Airwick
A quick google search has shown a company called caeurope.co.uk..I have not contacted them as yet as im a bit stuck on what to do next.
Any help appreciated
Paul.

and this is one reason why I hate the liquid type airfreshners. All of them do this. Which is annoying on cars like Audi's which has a rubberised finish toi their plastics...
there are companies out there who do dash repairs - and I don't mean the type that will reduce the mileage by 40,000 lol.
LeatherTech are good. Cheshire/Staffs based and carry millions of colours in stock.

Would something like this.... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_222585_langId_-1_categoryId_165495 tart it up satisfactorily?
I'd have thought the company that made the product would be liable for the costs of repairs though - especially if you followed all the instructions given (like the ones about the maximum angle to position them at).0 -
load the pictures up to a site like www.tinypic.com and let us see.0

It has flaked so ideally needs to be rubbed down and painted...but that means taking the dash out
All instructions followed and i have used them before but not again lolharveybobbles wrote: »load the pictures up to a site like and let us see.

The pictures in question for anyone who wants to see them. Personally I would call the company and see what they have to say. Will probably find that they have some sort of disclaimer against this kind of thing.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

surely an interior repair company could do something with this?...work permit granted!0

can you do a shot from farther back?
to me that looks like part of the centre console/dash not the main dash unit
is it a megane?
a possible option would be those dash kits, like the fake wood  perhaps in silver/carbon effect0
