I think you are easily pleased!
If it had been me I would have contacted the ISA (I think that's what it is called) who resolve disputes like this.
2 flights and 2 nights in a hotel are worth much more than a hotel upgrade and one extra night.
Who pays for the extra day's spending??
Good luck anyway, we are going to Amsterdam in August - if you like chinese food go to the floating Sea Palace restaurant not far from Central Station- delicious!

Whoever is in charge of the competitions is absolutely stupid. The thing to have done would be to send you on the hol whatever their mixup - and let you know, that would have made them come out better

I find it really annoying that the only thing people associate with Amsterdam is drugs and sex. The fact is that that part of the city covers about 3 streets and the rest is a normal city with a normal shopping centre, museums, galleries and the same attractions you would see in any city. In fact you would only find the red light district if you were specifically looking for it. I've been there 3 times in the past and have never been to the red light district and don't wish to either.
