Found some great reduced No 7 day and night cream on the clearance stand today, then I used the ACM machine and was delighted to find the highlights voucher, got one once before and my daughter loves it. Great, I thought, I'd buy the night and day cream reduced to £3.50 from £17.50 and get the hightlights powder free! Bargain!
BUT... i pressed to print the voucher, the machine whurred and made a printing sound but no voucher came out and the print button disappeared.
Horror!!
I asked a SA for help she didn't know how the machine worked and so got another SA. She said it was just bad luck if the voucher had disappeared. She opened up the machine to check the paper feed which was fine. Then she put my card back in and tried to print another voucher from my card (the half price line lift!) and the same thing happened again, vanishing voucher! She said it was tough because you only get one chance at the voucher and if it didn't come out there was nothing you could do. This didn't seem very fair to me. After I complained to her she went away with my card to ask someone else. She came bakc saying the same thing, and then changed her story to say that the voucher had probably expired and thats why they hadn't printed!!
I could not get her to understand that it was a fault with the ACM and that I was entitled to the voucher it just hadn't printed out. She just kept saying there was nothing she could do.
So my question is... is it worth compalining to customer services about this as I bought the No7 product anyway I feel robbed of the £10 highlight powder. What do you expert Bootsers think?
Hi, I'd definately phone c/s, they are usually very good. And hopefully they will understand that it was a problem with the acm and not try and fob you off like the SAs. I do find sometimes that the SAs instore and not very 'aware' of the acm and what it does, iykwim!

Hi, wether you call cs is up to you, but remember they will look further into your purchasing activity so you need to decide wether this is important enough to warrant a call. Hth

I bought a box of paracetamol and the points went on fine, no forms, no questions.
I've tried two vouchers now. The first came in a mailing and it didn't scan at all. I just apologised and grabbed it back. But the one in the magazine scanned very happily tonight. I don't know if that explains why some people are getting bleeps and some not?0 -

Sigh! I was in Kendal on Friday. Didn't have much time -- managed a tour of the charity shops but didn't see Boots!! Will definitely look next time...0 -
Thanks to the OP who said the 20% off mini-mode takes it off the original price. Found some lovely dungarees with a tractor on for my nephew, reduced to £9.00 but w the voucher paid £5.xx so very pleased, even though I forgot about the second voucher in the magazine. That was in Horwich on Tuesday.
Sorry not to have been around to help earlier today, jonathanjordon, but Trafford Centre not usually very good at reductions and you usually do better at the Trafford Park Boots which is in a retail park just near there.
I have, however, just been to the Trafford Centre and found some KOS moisturisers (but it was 50ml, not 100 ml as in the link) reduced to £2.25 -- got 342 and also used three KOS mocs, so well pleased. I also found two 50p off coupons for Fairy washing stuff. There was a stand with three different Fairy products advertising a 25% discount, the cheapest was Fabric Conditioner, reduced from £1.75 to £1.31, so I bought two of those, reducing the price of each by 50p with the coupon. So three KOS moisturisers, two fabric conditioners, £3.12 to pay, 28 points plus 1 for bag re-use and 500 points for the prescription voucher. Was very happy!

So my question is... is it worth compalining to customer services about this as I bought the No7 product anyway I feel robbed of the £10 highlight powder. What do you expert Bootsers think? The highlights voucher states that you have to make a purchase of a No7 cosmetic to get the highlighter free, I know when others have tried to use this voucher with non-cosmetics then the voucher has beeped so I do not think that the voucher would have worked with the reduced cream. With the voucher beeping the SA would probably have read the voucher and advised you that you had not me the terms and conditions.... hth
However I do think although you would not have been able to use the voucher in your transaction, it is still unfair that you didn't get the voucher because the ACM offered it to you, but you could not get it as there was a machine problemThis is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M.
