been to Preston city centre, Preston deepdale and then Central 12 southport today.
Preston have to have the 2 worst clearance shelves I have ever seen. both shops were rubbish on bargains - only the boots baby shampoo worth having - 40p each but BOGOF, however I was overcharged so have just rang customer services.
Central 12 have some shampoos reduced: loreal paris elvive down to £1.13 but BOGOF;) and some pantene sachets for 49p ( think everyone has enough from the last glitch;)) naked sachets to 66p and some random kids ones for 97p ish?
Many many thanks to OP ( sorry cant remember?) who said about the voucher in the 'baby and you' mag for £1 off the Method baby stuff. looked in preston for the mag but it was nowhere to be seen - gets to central 12 and there is a huge pile of them right by the door waiting for me! ( managed to swipe 6:D but left loads on shelf - cant guarentee I wont get a few more tomorrow though;)) only bought one method body wash though, as wanted to check it worked first!! thanks again cant wait to get some more tomorrow!;)0 -
I am so pleased with today's shop and it was all free!
Bought 5 bottles Method Baby body wash in a mixture of apple and peach fragrances for £1 each - used 5 x £1 coupons from the Baby and You mag so free!!! :j loads still on shelf along with the Method 3-in-1 shampoo also £1 and free with coupon but have loads of shampoo so left that.
Also bought 3 bottles of Botanics baby lotion reduced to 74p - used a 100 point coupon for each from ACM therefore in boots logic I was paid 3 x 26p = 78p to take them away :T
I also saw 3 KOS face washes on clearance for 98p each and I had the vouchers in my pocket but didn't have the front to get those as well!
I could be going to Boots again tomorrow... :rotfl:0 -
Saw reduced SELs on some Umberto Gianni women's haircare products, 49p for Boots Essential Provitamin Conditioner brunette and blonde versions. Half price on all Tommy Guns haircare. HTH0

Thanks for those ideas Pegginout, I seem to have a surplus of the Time Delay cleanser.
The Baby and You magazines are in the Baby department. They are proper magazines.

Evening chucks
Not posted for a while, there seems to be a lack of bargains in the area at the mo, think the last decent thing I bought was the reduced NC bags!!
I am aware that we are not allowed to ask anyone else on here for items for charity events etc to be sent to them, but would it be ok to bring to the attention of Bootsers in Sheffield a charity called Sheffield Baby Basics.
As soon as I heard about this charity, whilst at a local toddler group, I thought about the bargain hunters on here, as they need what a lot of us have hoarded in drawers and in boxes in the cellar (or is that just me?!) and what a lot of us find on our travels searching the clearance shelves.
I hope this is of interest to those of you in the Sheffield area.0 -

I bought some of this too, thought it was on BOGOF and when it didn't go through at BOGOF I mentioned it to the SA. She frog marched me to the shelf and pointed out it was only the 500ml bottles on BOGOF, I had got the 300ml ones, these were the only reduced ones in my store. Did feel a bit stupid for not reading it right, wouldn't have bought so many if they weren't on offer either!
Just wondered if this is why you were over charged0 -
Had a nice time in Boots opticians yesterday, they were really lovely.
Thankfully I got an appointment whist they have selected designer frames at half price so I got some lovely glasses cheap. What should have cost £135 in total cost me about £55 after the half price frames were taken off and my NHS optical voucher - which at £36.20 essentially paid for the frames
These are the ones I got http://www.bootsopticians.com/glasses/Oasis/OAS-CELOSIA/88dc454a-be81-413d-b235-6409e01bd5fe/product.aspx instore they are currently half price so are quite a bargain for some snazzy specs.
I know I know I could have had free glasses from their £25 range....but every pair they had (which wasn't many) looked like the giant goggles that my nan wears :rotfl: I think £55 is worth not looking like a plonker.
So anyone needing specs who likes designer frames get down to Boots options as there are quite a few frames in the Oasis and Miss Sixty range that are half price and this is going on for the next two weeks according to the dispenser.
She even reminded me to use my Boots card so I'd get a point per pound spent. Not a huge amount of points obviously, but better than nothing
Didn't get to look around proper boots fully as my brother and my mother decided that I should babysit his girlfriend who wanted to go to town too. Of course I'm told this 40 minutes before my bus so I have no choice but to do it. Just wanted one nice day to meself after all the crap going on in my life...grrr. Well I may not have gotten anything in boots but I did just receive 2 small boots products through from swapitshop wins
I now have a No7 perfect lips pencil in Nude and stay perfect eye mousse in Sky. Made me feel a bit better about my lack of bootsing yesterday!
