Is Skype what I'm thinking it is? Just the free VOIP program?

I cant get one.
Another aspect of the badly written dongle site is the statement "one per applicant". They assert that it means one per address, which ISNT what it says and is a real pain when someone you share with already has one. I went to the site entered my details on the first page so that's a different name - different phone number (required field) and had I been able to move to the financial stuff that would have shown a different credit card in a different name to the "existing customer".
The local trading standards there is reluctant to act - despite my local office agreeing that the wording of the site means I should be able to get it. Micro Peripherals view is "tough", the claim is that it is only possible to differentiate between customers by address, which is of course total garbage, it only requires some decent software to be able to look for different individual details in several fields. 3 are famously unwilling to talk to customers at "executive office level - customer service are able no help at all, but try explaining that to the arrogant woman on the 3 switchboard.
So in all not a great deal for those in shared accommodation from this company with a site that is badly composed on more than one level. My flatmate and I share hobby that can take us to different venues at the weekend, so sharing isn't feasible.
In these days of tight finances I wonder why companies don't/wont take into account that many people DO share accommodation? Sorting multiple applications is simply a matter of verifying that several areas of data are different. That way they could be fair and even handed about it. With this and the insecure site problems highlighted elsewhere you have to wonder about 3's choice of partner companies! They certainly haven't impressed me in any positive way.
Just My Opinion.... YMMV0 -

Another aspect ......

Time to call upon friends/girl(or boy)friends/family/neighbours.
Since you can communicate so adeptly online, it could be time for you to translate that to the real world.....ask someone to do it for you?
Please don't tell us that you don't have any friends or family. You 'll make us cry.0 -
I got one of these a couple of months ago - i typed in the postcode on the website where i'm more likely to be using the dongle n it said connectivity was high - meaning i should have great internet access.
Got the dongle, topped up £10, converted it for internet usage and i have one bar out of 5 on connectivity. Seemed to get a lot of use out of my £10 tho so it's not too bad (was on msn n various websites) the top-up once converted will only last 30 days tho, which meant i lost some but i suppose that's what happens with PAYG.0 -
