What type of speeds are you getting with the o2 sim ? I tried the 3 sim and I was getting decent speeds, tried a o2 payg iphone (3G) sim and the speeds are much slower.
That all depends on where you live and what coverage each provider has in your area. Where I live there is no 3 signal at all, O2 is only Edge, yet Vodafone has full 3G. Ten miles down the road and all three of them have full-speed coverage.
  • OMG - I've just checked my credit card account and there were no fraudulant transactions, no additional unexpected transactions and the balance is correct. !!!!!!!

Whats going on? Should I ring up Micro P to complain?

Well, I'm not the scaremongering type, and I assumed the few who've reported fraudulant transactions since paying for this offer were victims of coincidence BUT....

I've just had my bank contact me to report fraudulant use of the card that I used for this offer, so now I'm not so sure. Coincidence? Perhaps, and maybe even probably.

But do check - the fraud on mine was a £1 charity donation (probably to check the card details work said the bank) followed by a £30 mobile top-up.

    Card now cancelled.

It is not a coincidence. I am just not sure who was monitoring the traffic to and from the Micro P website.

Sarcasm and laughing at your own poor humour. Not altogether impressive so far. Nothing of note to contribute?

    Hi, Ordered Mine.

    Thanks very much.
  • I just wanted to say that you can't rely too much on what 3 say that you can do with 1gb: I think that they underestimate it so that you will buy a higher allowance! And bear in mind that the time spent online is irrelevant, it is your usage that counts.

I am managing very well on 1gb per month, it is an ideal allowance for me.

Not for me. I tried before and after unlocking (unlocked using non-Vista machine) and can get it working on XP but not Vista. I had a DLL error - repaired that (as far as I can tell) but still no joy. The Sim card seems to be recognised but there is no data connection achieved. I am abroad at the moment so will give it one more try in the UK but don't hold out much hope. I'd be very grateful for any tips as I could really do with internet access in the UK.
