Noticed today snack a jacks have changed design of their 30gramme packets,very nice but they now weigh only 26gramme and same price,soon we will be paying for bags of air!!!!!!!!0

They've also made it "more concentrated" or somesuch so the recommended measurements on the back of the pack are now proportionally less.
It is a bit sneaky, though, as they didn't make it clear - I guess they think a lot of people will just continue using a "scoop" of powder.
The smaller packs are now cheaper per 100g. So that's what I bought. Now I will check Aldi etc. and see if they are now cheaper.0 -

Same on the big packs, from 140g to 1xxg. The old size ones were on special in Sainsbury's for 26p a pack too!0 -
Just an update on Maltesers. Poundland has started selling the smaller boxes weighing 120g instead of 146g in some branches.

Rang customer services regarding pack size and they reckon its because consumers would rather have less in bag and no price increase,she said as credit crunch etc was reason for increase in raw materials leading to reduction in weight!!!!!!!
But that effectively is a price increase isn't it?
And I don't remember them asking MY opinion0
