Where did you see the 230g bags and what price were they? I haven't spotted them anywhere.

They are the brand new ones in sainsburys, tescos and asda, they have family share pack across the front and are normallypriced at £2.20 in my sainsburys, ouch:eek:

Oh gosh that is awful, i would phone up somerfield and complain as the new pouches which are currently on offer are the larger family share bags and they are the 230g bags, the 175g share bags are what they have always done.

its not somerfields fault though that the same price is being asked for, arent supermarkets asked to charge X amount for a product, maybe im wrong

I have noticed this. Fairy Liquid is 97p in Asda. The bottles were 500ml but are now 450 ml but same price. Also Asda Fruit and Fibre cereal, was 750g box, but is now a 500g box for the same price. Sneaky.
  • here's another one. Sainsburys basic washing powder has gone from 3kg to 2.5kg. It was obvious to me as soon as I picked up the pack.

Its not just the maltesers/its also revels /minstrals/peanut treats/choco etc..they are all about a third less in size at the same price..although i noticed in some sainsburys they are selling off the larger discontinued sizes at half price.I got 8 bags of white maltesers and 8 bags of revels for 88p each in sainsburys last week.

No sign of the new large"family share" bags at my local Asda but they are selling the new smaller 135g bags at £1.71 - yikes!

Fortunately, Poundland do still have the 146g boxes a £1.

The same is happening with Snack A Jacks, the big 140g tubes.

Down to 120g but same price.

Hopefully Poundland will still have the boxed maltesers for some time.

It's a joke to be honest, how we are all being ripped off and not be expected to notice.
