I treat it as a taxable expense, it's fine as long as you give the items to charity, which I'm sure we all do. ;)

so i can class ALL reimbursements as expenses then??? how many people do this or the other option please as I definitely do not want to get my books wrong.

I class all money 'in' (fees and reimbursements) as income, and then do a separate column for all money 'out' - so that's petrol, printing, and whatever I was required to spend to undertake the assignment.

If I get a reimbursement of £5 but I actually spent £8.30, I put £5 as income and £5 as expenditure as it was my choice to spend over the £5 reimbursement.

However, if I get a reimbursement of £15 but I am told specifically to buy x, y and z, and that comes to more than £15 (rather than just being told to spend about £15), then I put the entire cost down as expenditure.

I class all reimbursements as expenses (like food, cinema tickets) basically anything I need to buy for a job as specified by the company. If I wasn't doing the job, i wouldn't be buying these things.
Makes me wonder, with all these MP expenses........they need to collect our taxes to pay for thier dry rot treatments and gardeners.

SC- thats what I do as well, much better explained than me;-)

I will read the notes. It never said it before. If it says not to use them in the notes then of course I wont use them. Thanks for the tip - I will check later. But whenever I go there for lunch, everyone uses the voucher. I am going to look silly not having one.

Obviously because I have never had one of these before they have changed the rules just for me!!! I will recheck the notes too  just to make sure I read it correctly!

My OH did one of these, and he's not had the email (thankfully as I got him to sign up just to do it, and it took a while). Have you asked them what the problem was?

If they are the Gap pizzas, then there are 2 different questionnaires. The old one says one thing, and the new another, with regards to pineapple, half & half, and quite probably vouchers too. MGirl is near me, so is probably doing one under the newer more lenient scenario, as they are being trialled around here.

    Thanks, will try again.

I got an email from them re the query at 3am this morning, proofreading in the night? Bizarre.

I got one of those within minutes of putting a report online in the early hours of Sunday morning a few weeks ago. I thought they were quick off the mark....but two weeks later the job is still pending to be paid.
