Scotties_Mum wrote: »Hi,
Can anyone help?
I am trying to convert an email into a PDF document for Bare, and my computer is not installing the PDF printer properly. I have followed the guidelines given by Bare, but can't get round it, and can't submit report for this job until I can attach the document.
Any ideas?
Thanks X
I'm not sure which PDF software BARE recommended or what the error msg is but try Bullzip PDF at http://www.bullzip.com/products/pdf/info.php
Install the software, close down the browsers, reopen your email program\browser, find the email and click on File>Print or the equivalent. Choose BullzipPDF as the printer and it will save to the location you suggested earlier.0 -

So if I do that for this month for example I can put:
paper £5
printer black cartridge £15
printer colour refill £50 -
Yes although if you switch to that method it will be for the rest of the tax year. You can't just use that method during the month you incur those costs and then go back to 6p a sheet next month (while still using the ink you have already claimed). Presumably you didn't use that whole ink cartridge for those two jobs?
thank you ill have to work out which is best for me. I think per page is easiest and Ill just set up a calculation in my spreadsheet so i just put in pages and it totals it for me. i will need another printer at some point so i guess that can go in as consumable expense (or whatever it is called) same as you can do for a new laptop and then you can claim percentages of the cost over a number of years?0 -

AFAIK the 6p per page also covers the printer - although tbh I've no idea where the calculation comes from.
I'm basing my logic on the mileage where you can't claim mileage and a new car when the current one dies.
I would say (and again a quick call to HMRC will sort this out if you fancy it) that you either claim the 6p per page OR cartridges/paper/cost of printer etc.
Any thoughts anyone?0 -
Thanks Nads, one pdf file created and sent.

Logged on this morning and theres loads of new jobs added everywhere :T
Thank god for that, was beginning to think I was going to have nothing to do this week0 -
I have to thank people on here who explained about adding more addresses on Grassroots. I've been offered more work from then in the last week than I've been offered all year.
If you've not already done this, then it's worth spending 10 minutes looking up postcodes for nearby shopping centres and adding them as your extra postcodes. You can have up to 5. I thought that the addresses that I already had down would cover most of my local area, but obviously not. I used to have my Mum's address down, but changed it to the shopping centre about 5 miles away from her, and now have 5 jobs to do tomorrow.0 -
