I've not got any phone jobs coming up on RE. Maybe there aren't any in my area! Am doing my first phone shop job for Gfk today on my lunch break - am quite nervous for some reason!

And doing a health club visit after work tonight - even more nervous! I've not done visits like these before and I think I need to build up some resiliance to salesmen as right now - I'm a sucker!

The GFK phones shops are nothing to worry about - I did 2 and the first took quite a while as the guy was perfect and did everything by the book. The second one was very quick as the girl couldn't be bothered, but for both there was no big pressure to buy straight away.

I've never done a health club - what do you have to do? It is with GFK or someone else?
  • Did the Casino visit on Friday with my partner - we went in together in the end. Had a great time, won some money back! The staff were good, the barman especially great!

Just grabbed 2 coffee jobs from GAP. Not done these before...do they automatically send the correct equipment to me or do I have to do anything??

From what I remember when I first started doing the gap coffee jobs, I had an email saying the equipment had been sent out, so could now start selecting assignments. Time was getting on though & the stuff still hadn't arrived, so I emailed them, then later that day had a phone call - I still remember being amazed that they'd called from Australia - I assumed it would be somebody based here! That was the first of many chats I've had with them - we usually gab for about twenty minutes - must cost them a fortune! They apologised and said they'd arranged for it to be sent again, and also changed the dates for the jobs I was due to do.

It arrived a couple of days later & these are among my favourite jobs - I can usually do at least three or four at a time, within the same area, so works out quite well.

I was peeved at not being able to do all the ones in Paris last week - every one we passed, I kept saying to my daughter "I could do that!";)

Its with RE - I had to ring earlier in the week to enquire about facilities and if I could come to the gym and try them out. I think the girl on the phone was meant to make me an appointment to come down and visit, but she just said to come whenever I wanted and that she was sure it'd be okay for me to try the facilities out.

Now I've got to go to the Health Club, try out the facilities (gym, swimming pool, steam room etc) and see how well the staff treat me and how well they try to sell me membership! I'm trying to think up a backstory as to why I'm looking into gym membership as it's quite a long way from where I live! Thinking of saying my partner's just accepted a job offer in the area, and we're looking to move there shortly, and wanted to get gym membership sorted as I'm training for a 10k run or something!!! Ha ha. Not that they'll probably ask me, but I dont' want to be caught out!

I can't see any phone calls on RE either, just phone store jobs.
