Has anyone done opticians on Tern, where they provide you with a prescription. As I don't have a problem with my eyesight they've provided me with one and I was going to do the job today, but I don't know what sort of glasses I would need. How do I go in looking for reading glasses and then find out my prescription actually says it's for long sighted vision or something?
It does talk in the brief that if you were thinking of vari-focals not to go for this option. I'm going to look a bit stupid going in and not knowing what I need glasses for aren't I? Does anyone on here know?
Alternatively if anyone who needs glasses know anything about their prescription, it says:
SPH CYL AXIS Near-ADD
R -0.50 -0.50 180.0 +2.00
L -0.50 -0.25 55.0 +2.00
Does this mean I'm near sighted so have a prescription for distance?0 -

Hi,
I think that means you are slightly short sighted, so yes it is for distance. To put it in perspective (excuse the pun!), I have an SPH of -5.5 in both eyes and I can just about see the end of my own nose!
Hope this helps,

There wasn't an age range mentioned on the brief. It says to make an enquiry, try something on, then buy something (which you can return 'at your leisure'), all for around half the fee we were getting for similar jobs on Abai. But the ones in my area have gone, so guess they are worth it if you would be shopping there anyhow.0 -

Hi Josie,
I've just emailed you a copy of my prescription - it was quicker to do this than type it all out!!
I'm shortsighted & have pluses on mine, no minus signs, so don't know what you are supposed to be!!0 -
Oh well, will just have to do the dumb blonde routine then!0
