I'm not suggesting for one moment that anyone does this, but you could merely go in the store, pick a member of staff who takes your fancyand make a note of their name & description, pick up a brochure and walking out without talking to anyone. You can make the rest up.
I've picked up a few of them because I'm going to be in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to do them. At least when Gap used to do the major mobile phone store you had a set scenario to follow and more detailed questionnaire.
I was surprised last night when I was doing my report for a customer (not competitor ) store that I visited yesterday . I obviosuly hadnt read through the questionaire very well because they didnt even ask for a description of the MOS or anything ....very odd , I guess its a good thing I did speak to someone as he didnt have a name badge and wrote his name down on the brochure he gave me , so at least I have some back up if asked. Just checked on a competitor one I have for today and that is the same brief info .... as you say I cant really see what the phone company gaines from them either...0 -
Wow, I struggle to believe what I'm seeing.
I have contributed so much to these threads in the past, as have so many others. I try to put my view accross, to try and make people realise that the people they might need the help from in the future, will be gone if the thread becomes too clogged up with crap (I'll speak frankly now) and it just gets ignored - which would be fine, but to then question how helpful someone is who was trying to put accross a balanced view, is just pointless and a little nasty.
There are MSing forums about which I don't frequent but only because this was where I started and I thought that if I began MSing with the help from people on this thread, I should return some of that help when I'm more experienced. You might find, and this is only a very general prediction, that the experienced MSers move over to these boards and newbies can sit an ask about ABAi clients all day.
I'll not say any more on this matter as I'm getting a nose bleed from the height of my horse but I just want people to realise that yes, anyone can say what they want but they ought to hear feedback from other users; it's a vital method of improving things (or put another way, stopping the downturn in quality!).
Hi Timmne
I'm not sure the quotes were aimed at you, you and TG amongst others have always been very helpful on here, but as lots of people have said this is supose to be the chat thread where we can ask about anything MSing. I think it was more the way TG worded her/his (sorry I always assume everyones female!) post that got peoples back up. I am fairly new to MSing (April) as are lots of other people on here. With this in mind we just needed reasurance from others that we were all in the same boat re. payments. I really don't understand why this was such an issue. At the end of the day f we all said what we didn't want to see on here there would be no posts left!! The trouble is once someone gets their back up it then becomes personal. However I think everyone was tired etc.....
Overall I don't think people should be discouraged from posting on here. I have always found it very helpful source of information and have tried to help in return when I might know a particular answer.

I don't expect perfection -I find it doesn't make for a friendly atmosphere and I visit here for that friendliness as well as the info. So Timmne get off that high horse -the altitude is no good for you and you KNOW we appreciate you
We all vent from time to time but today's chatterer on Alerts can turn into tomorrow's useful poster once they get a handle on how it works here -and you catch a lot more flies with honey than vinegar so keep with the nice PMs (like you sent me when I messed up and named the client and hinted at the MS company instead of t'other way around) because I personally think that does work better. Gentle guidence rather than a big stick
Red ink and moans are soooooooooo last season anyway
OK I've had my say -let the flames start- but this is written in the spirit of unity not to upset anyone-I promise !
Surely you're not suggesting we take Monkey Boy's red pen away???? It's not as if we take him seriously anyway! :rotfl:
Just teasing - we love you Monkey - and you, too Timmne!0 -

Seriously ... Ive quite missed seeing the red pen lately.... ! :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
It's interesting that you say that you're not on Facebook; this wipes out any cookie stuff happening with the ads or whatever on there....
I think someone's comandeered a list of names and email addresses from a MSing company we're all registered with - finding out which one would be a problem I guess but I think that's what's happened anyway..
You're right SC; it's not likely that an MSing company would need to email out to get shoppers - unless they're a startup and they're trying to rapidly increase their shopper base.
I've got the FB friend request too, and it looks like they are a start up. I'm wondering if an ex staff member from one of the MS companies copied an address list before leaving to start their own business? I might send them a message to ask who they are...........0 -

so there should be a questionnaire to read then? This is what I am not seeing for either job - one is standard phone and one is their competitor. so how do i find the questionnaire please?0 -
