Interestingly I've found a forum on RPoints where MS jobs are advertised.

May be of help to some.
Its a good extra resource but I don't think I'll defect from this one. There was even a posting "They have a realy good forum on Money Saving Expert. I found it really helpful." which was nice. Anybody here aka mimi1234?
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

And now I've just printed off the questionnaire - all 11 pages of it - and there are departments on there that aren't mentioned on the brief!

OMG this is going to be a disaster!

How does everyone else do these jobs?

I did one and handed the rest back - the brief is so crap!

That's not a very good idea, though, is it, because then he'll get a bad write up!

Anyhow ... TNS ... I'm doing my first "big" supermarket shop for them tomorrow. I've only even done small supermarkets for them.

Just looking at the paperwork, oh my goodness, there are so many departments I have to visit and ask questions. Do I have to make a note of the persons name and description in every department? There are about 20 different areas I need to visit!

Hi, I have my first 'big' supermarket with GR this weekend but on checking the questionnaire (15 pages!!) I am thinking of cancelling as you only get £1.00 plus £10.00 and have to remember 7 names and visit loads of departments and ask questions. Is it worth the fee and time ?

I posted previously that I was not able to see the underground jobs on g a p.

I sent them an email and they have replied that I have to do the client orientation on the orientation page - however, I can't see the client on the orientation page!

Can someone who is able to do these jobs tell me what the orientation looks like, i.e. is it called "Underground", or something else?

Is it on everyone else's orientation page?

    xx

(possibly the most times I have ever used that word orientation in one day)

I've just done the orientation for this one this week. It is called "underground UK" and is under the client specific orientation. Have you completed the general orientation because I don't think you can do any mystery shopping until you have completed that?

    Hi

Yes I did the general one when I started, do not know what's going on with this.

    Thanks xx

EDIT: This was in reply to nads about the TNS shops.

The jobs are actually quite easy but I couldn't agree more about the brief - it's just not clear what they actually want you to do on each specific assignment (until you get to see the report, which is only after you have done the job). So, if you have a few to do, the rest are dead easy, it's just the first one that's a problem.

We should get up a petition to demand they write a clearer brief and let us see the report before we do the job!!!

But seriously, I think I'll give the next wave of these a miss (only taken one this time round), but I much prefer the fast ones, they are so much easier and the brief is clear from the start.

.....and then you get caught admiring their left t!t - which is always a bit of a wriggle getting out of! (The situation, I mean)

I did one of the power jobs in supermarkets and the t!t had this Id on his waist just next to his..... took me about four attempts before I managed to get a glance at it... the badge that is. the badge! :naughty:

Is it the green one? It's dead easy, honestly. If you shop there anyway, just look at it as a few quid off your regular shopping bill.

Can you see a list of other clients within that section. I've got a list if 15 clients and I have completed the 2 that I have found jobs for.... underground and golden arches. Sounds like you might need to email them back again.

Thansk scaredy, I'm gonna stick with the fast ones :) We should all email our AMs and ask them to improve the brief so people will do them more accurately and quickly.
