Regarding that email... it sounds suspiciously like a scam - what address are you asked to reply to? Is it an address at that MS company's domain?

If this is a scam, I'd imagine they'd contact you after you took out the loan, asking you to transfer the money to bank account details provided, so the loan can be cancelled. This bank account would in fact by the scammer's account, and they will have scammed you out of £5k.

GfK had this type of job last year some time. So if it's them, then I think it is genuine, but with the same caveats as people have already mentioned.

For Centre Parcs it's just a cafe job, so you have to be going anyway during the times as they won't pay for you to get in, if that helps.

Love one of the new questions that RE ask now that they're doing the station cafes. "What is your main reason for being in the station today?" :rotfl:

It didn't have an option "To do a mystery shop", so I put travelling and then put in the comments I only went to do the mystery shop. Honestly!

It's like the new question on the pub jobs - "If you had not visited this pub, where would you have visited and why?" - I would have visited the kitchen at home, because that's where the food is kept... I only went to the pub 'cos you're paying me to go.

Sugarhunny1 Getting a loan isn't necessarily a bad thing on your credit rating - its only bad if you default on payments. If it shows you took out a loan, especially with a reputable bank (??? if there is one in the whole wide world) and then paid it back, that shows you are good for credit. People who have never borrowed anything are an unknown quantity and considered more risk. HTH

PS It is a bad thing if you make several applications in a very short time - that would have a negative effect.

I thought I should pop my head in here and say hello as i'm really getting into mystery shopping in the last couple of weeks, i've always seen it when I come on here but for some reason never thought about doing it until a couple of weeks ago!
It's so much easier to make money doing this than writing reviews and doing slicethepie which is what I was doing before!
    :j
    So, hello!!

With the latest sandwich shops on RE - you have to take a pic, who has ever got a sandwich that looks like the one on the left.
