Quick FYI to all visitors to this thread: every now and then I see how supportive and fantastic the MSE community is and today I saw another example. Essentially, a guy was trying to pay off some debts by selling a caravan has ended up in a dire state- if you fancy having a read it's on the eBay board, titled something along the lines of a caravan!

You'll see why I'm mentioning it as you get to the guys outcome and also what the MSE community is doing (or offering to do at this stage) to help.

Sorry can't link to it as I'm on my iPhone!

Been reading that one from the start, following it very closely as it is very similar to a case I am going through myself at the moment

I thought that for the bingo you had to have never been to bingo before, the one I did last month had this scenario. It was a bit scary actually, as they did not explain what was happening and I was bewildered! But the good thing was that the bingo club have sent me 2 lots of freebies since then, and I went with my friend at the weekend, both of us getting free tickets, and a bottle of bubbly for me, as it was my birthday.

We didn't win though, better luck for everyone this time. Who's got a casino visit? I missed those.

With the GFK bingo I have done, it is actually a stipulation that you ARE a regular bingo player and must have played at a licenced club at least 6 times in the last 12 months. It does help because the bingo runs at quite a fast pace and can be bewildering the first time. I usually get there as the doors open to get the bar, machines, diner, toilets etc out of the way. Then I can almost forget the MS part of it and enjoy the bingo :D. I have never won anything though, but I keep trying!
They probably do different scenarios to get the view point of the regular and new members.

Hmmmm wonder if anyone is up at this hour to help. I have a couple of early morning shops to do for RE tomorrow. The thing is I never called the woman to accept the assignment. I've done the same company for them before and never had to do this. Anyhow I accepted the job when a barage came online the other night at 11pm so of course, made a mental not to call the next day. Next day I'm up early and go on 4 MS and completely forget.

I just get an e-mail after midnight saying I have 24hrs to accept or they'll be released. Now I have a very tight timeframe to do these 2 shops, very local in 1.5 hrs do I get up early go and whilst on the job call RE. Or just release them risking 4 points deducted (2 for each job)?

Not sure I follow this fully....are you required to phone RE in addition to accepting online? If I understand you then what I'd do is email the contact through both the support@re address and the 'contact us' option on the website. Also, call them in the morning when you're on your way. If you have 24hrs from midnight then maybe you could call RE after doing the jobs. Of course the cost of the phone calls and wear and tear of tapping on the keyboard for the email may erode the fee....:p HTH

im awake too but not sure about the query. Why do you need to call if you accepted the job late tuesday night? i think all you need to do is log in and set the date you are doing the jobs as i know if you do not select the date they are now passed on within 48 hrs, so this makes sense as tonight at midnight would be 24 hrs from when you accepted them so you have 24 hrs to tell them a date. im sure thats all they mean :)

Hey night owls. Bizarre, I know. I accepted the jobs and then it said

"You must now contact XXXXXX on XXXXX to enable you to proceed"

I accepted the jobs, and they both show up as accepted on my account. It was Tues a lil after 11pm. I picked a date for both, they both show up on my to do list.

Then the e-mail stating that I "need to set a date" otherwise they will be released.

Either this is some new policy for some assignments or their system is !!!!!!ed.

I picked a date at stage 2 of the application process for these.

This is totally baffling considering I'd done this company for RE before.

i got some jobs tuesday night as well but had weird problems. but there is a new policy that states you have 48hrs to set dates (i am a newbie so only policy i have known) so i think thats what it must mean. can you log back in and try going to that date section?

ive checked mine and stage 4 highlights the main bits and lets you change the date if need be - does your date show as set there? I think its a glitch as system was bizarre on tuesday night. why not try changing date for one job to another date on that screen and then back to the date you want and see if that rectifies it?
